Description
A shitton of Toughness Generation :))
(Updated for the new skill tree rework on 9/23/2025)
THE WEAPONS:
Your loadout consists of the Tigrus Mk III Heavy Eviscerator, The Locke Mk IIb Spearhead Boltgun, and the Immolation Grenade
The Tigrus Mk III Heavy Eviscerator can work as an Ad-clear and High-damage hybrid melting through hordes of enemies and basically oneshotting Beasts of Nurgle, Plague Ogryns, and whatever else you can think of.
The Locke Mk IIb Spearhead Boltgun is just a high power secondary that can put out more damage and ad-clear if you're in a pinch. The bleed from this gun with the AoE it has greatly improves it's Ad-clear Versatility. You only should use this weapon if special enemies or big hordes are overpowering you. Using this weapon against any bosses will not do much since this build is mainly focused on our Melee Weapon. Spamming this weapon will burn through ammo so use it sparingly. The only massive downside this weapon has other than the ammo capacity is the reload speed.
The Immolation Grenade is a great Blitz item to use in tandem with your Eviscerator when getting overrun by enemies. Saving one and using it to secure areas to Revive teammates or do Objectives helps greatly and can save several runs.
THE CURIOs:
2 WOUND CURIOs with 1 TOUGHNESS CURIO.
All of them should have +4% Combat Ability Regen and 5% Toughness.
The damage resistance is purely down to preference. I just hate gunners
THE WEAPON BLESSINGS:
On the Tigrus Mk III Heavy Eviscerator I am usually using Momentum and Rampage for more toughness gain and more Damage. I do recommend Shred for more Crit opportunities.
On the Locke Mk IIb Spearhead Boltgun I usually use Puncture and Inspiring Barrage for more bleed since the AoE still triggers bleed and more toughness gain.
This whole builds gameplay cycle is literally just:
- Get your HP low for Martyrdom.
- Spam light melee attack for close-range ad-clear.
- Most high armor enemies will die in one hit if you use your Fury of the Faithful (R1 on PS5, RT on Xbox, F on PC) right before using a fully charged and activated melee.
- If a massive wave is in a choke point, Pull out your Locke Mk IIb Spearhead Boltgun and just spray everywhere. It will kill nearly everything.
- Use Immolation Grenade when you are getting overwhelmed by enemies and/or need to do an objective or revive.
Profit. Nearly every single thing you do in this build will give you DR or Toughness. Getting a crit will give you Toughness DR while dodging, using heavy melees, and even being near enemies will give you Toughness.
(You should have 7 wounds when using this build correctly)
ALL SOURCES OF TOUGHNESS/DR ARE:
Passive [Second Wind] Successful Dodging Gives 15% Toughness.
Passive [Vicious Offering] Heavy Attack Kills Gives 10% Toughness.
Passive [Enemies Within, Enemies Without] Being near any enemies give 2.5% Toughness per second, Increased by 1% per enemy. (MAX is 7.5%)
Passive [Shield of Contempt] If anyone in coherency gets hit, that person gets 60% DR for 4s, that includes yourself. (Cooldown is 8s)
Aura [Benediction] automatically gives 15% DR for everyone in coherency, Including yourself.
Ability [Fury of the Faithful] gives 50% Toughness per use and guarantees a Crit. (which Synergizes with Enduring faith)
Passive [Enduring Faith] 40% Toughness DR on crit for 4s. DISCLAIMER: Headshotting an enemy does not crit, That is a weakpoint attack. A crit can only be proc'ed through random chance or through your ability.
Keystone Mod [I Shall Not Fall] Martyrdom gives 7.5% Toughness DR per stack. 7.5% X 6 Wounds Missing = 45% DR
Keystone Mod [Restorative Verses] Martyrdom gives 5% Toughness Replenishment per stack. 5% X 6 Wounds Missing = 30% More Toughness Replenishment.
Weapon Mastery (Tigrus Mk III Heavy Eviscerator) [Momentum] Hitting at least 3 enemies with an Attack will restore 15% Toughness. This is actually 30% since I added a blessing on my weapon with this exact same Trait.
Weapon Mastery (Tigrus Mk III Heavy Eviscerator) [Bloodthirsty] 100% Guaranteed Crit on your next Melee after a Special Attack Kill (Free 40% DR upkeep)
Weapon Mastery (Locke Mk IIb Spearhead Boltgun) [Gloryhunter] 16% Toughness on Elite Kill
Weapon Mastery (Locke Mk IIb Spearhead Boltgun) [Inspiring Barrage] 4% Toughness for every 10% of the mag spent during continuous fire. This stacks 5 times.
If everything is working together properly, the max you can have is:
130% Toughness Replenishment
120% Mix of Regular and Toughness DR
A ridiculous amount of Toughness Generation
