Description
- With this build you are NOT the main damage dealer. Your job is to stagger as much trash, elites and specialists as possible to allow your team to dispatch them easily. It might seem useless but do not underestimate how much value comes out of this. I have played with this build on difficulties up to Auric and it has not yet disappointed.
- Smite is going to be your primary tool with this build. Your goal is to stagger as many enemies as possible to prevent them from reaching you and your team. Battle Meditation is really helpful here as with each kill (even trash) you have a 10% chance to quell 10% Peril, increasing how much time you got before having to quell or vent.
The Covenant Mk VI Blaze Force Greatsword is great against most enemies when they get too close or appear behind you. Blazing Spirit helps with some of the "tougher" enemies by setting them on fire with critical hits.
- In a situation where you NEED to kill some of the "heavier" stuff, or simply want to quickly kill a single enemy, the Nomanus Mk VI Electrokinetic Force Staff fits in perfectly with it's high damage and stagger.
- When high on peril simply use your Venting Shriek or just quell since the quelling speed is so fast you can usually get rid of your peril entirely before the enemies even get back up.
- Empowered Psionics is the cherry on top, increasing your Smite's damage and spread.
- Perilous Combustion, Souldrinker and Wildfire are really useful here, as when you manage to kill an Elite or Specialist enemy while Smiting (which is gonna happen more often than you might think), you set nearby enemies on fire which on death restore 15% of your toughness, increase your crit chance by 5% AND spread the fire to even more enemies, essentially going in a loop, being incredibly helpful with crowd control and trash clear.
