This is a build for people with an affinity for the Combat Blade.

The ranged weapon is somewhat interchangeable, but if you go with something with a slow swap speed like Bolter or Flamethrower you'll probably want to switch the Blitz to Blades of Faith. I use the autogun mostly just to deal with snipers, bombers, and sometimes gunners (everything else just gets the knife).  With Surgical, it's good at keeping crit procs up (Enduring Faith, Blazing Piety).

Immolation Grenades do good damage against Unyielding, which helps against monsters, packs of Bulwarks, etc.

Backstabber and Unseen Blade are slam dunks for me because I often play with a Taunt Ogryn.

Enemies Within, Enemies Without + Enduring Faith + Stalwart provide great staying power.

I believe every build should provide some utility to the team in addition to damage. In this case, it's mostly the ability to clutch, revive, and assist allies thanks to Providence + Thy Wrath be Swift (and the stamina curio for auto-blocks).

If you have at least one other crit build on the team (e.g. Scrier's Psyker), Infectious Zeal is definitely worth the point. It can help defensively in some situations too, such as when combined with the Psyker talent Empathic Evasion.

We finally have the ability to increase enemy damage taken with Blinded by Blood (really good against bosses when multiple people are attacking it).

Shield of Contempt is somewhat controversial, but I feel it makes a difference, and it's competing against three weaker talents (for us) to get down the tree (Desperation, Punishment, Against the Odds). You could swap this point to Good Balance if you want more individual survivability, but I find I have plenty without it.

I skipped the FotF modifier, Unrelenting Fury, because I can't always guarantee a specialist/elite kill after my charge. Sometimes I use charge against bosses, for mobility/toughness while clutching, etc. I would need it to be just a flat 20% off the cooldown regardless of situation to consider it, or more like 40% off the cooldown if I'm required to get a specialist/elite kill.

I was initially very interested in trying to fit the new Riposte talent into my build, but I found there were some situations (particularly with my Taunt Ogryn friend) where I couldn't keep the dodge procs up. I skipped the Combat Blade blessing by the same name for the same reason. It's frustrating how Zealot's damage talents rely on backstabs/not having aggro but then also rely on successful dodges.
