Playstyle
The gunslinger veteran build is a close to medium range build oriented around using Executioner's Stance in conjunction with the Agripinaa Mk XIV Quickdraw Stub Revolver 's fan fire mode as much as possible to quickly pick out and eliminate elites and specialists. It's best played around the front of the party, and has durable enough toughness to withstand reasonable abuse while in Executioner's Stance , keeping you safe while you pick off priority targets.
Weapons
The Agripinaa Mk XIV Quickdraw Stub Revolver is the main component this build is structured around. While normally the Zarona Mk IIa Quickdraw Stub Revolver is the better choice for revolver builds, here I chose the Mk XIV for it's much quicker reload speed, higher reserve ammo, and just because it feels much more in line with the gunslinger archetype this build is meant to emulate. However, if you want better aim at significant distances and higher damage at the cost of efficiency, then try using the MK IIa and swapping Crucian Roulette out for Surgical !
The Cadia Mk XIIIg Assault Chainsword is your dedicated crowd control weapon and is built to cut through chaff as quick as possible thanks to your Trench Fighter Drill , though it's more than capable of taking on specialists up-close with ease by making use of it's heavy special attack. If it's still not cutting it for you, try sacrificing a talent for 15+ melee damage or swapping Krak Grenade out for Shredder Frag Grenade
The Krak Grenade in conjunction with Demolition Stockpile will ensure that you never worry about ogryns again as well as being a good answer to boss damage when you're low on ammo or have a hard time hitting weakspots. While the revolver is more than capable of taking out the Reaper efficiently, it can struggle with the Crusher and Bulwark , often needing upwards of 4 headshots for the Crusher even in Executioner's Stance .
Curios
The curios are just personally what I like to play with. Stacked ability regeneration to be able to spam Executioner's Stance and stacked gunner resistance because honestly to be real with you, ever since I realised I could do that I've never had a build that didn't stack gunner resistance.
Conclusion
Hopefully you enjoy this build as much as I do! As a zealot main, it took me quite a while to find a veteran build I actually enjoy playing as much as I enjoy playing my zealot or my psyker, as my primary builds on those characters are all very 2-handed-melee centric, but this fills a niche for me and feels unique to the class' strengths. It hasn't been havoc tested, but if you're handy with the revolver it's pretty smooth sailing and certainly isn't the worst choice for auric.
