Description
this build is made for absolutely shredding through hordes, elites, crusher packs, chiefs, twins and doing alright damage to bosses. if you want more boss damage you can always switch the stamina on the tax onto unyielding, just remember to keep the stamina up
you may notice some points put into ranged stuff, and thats because this is made for hybrid gameplay that havoc will force you into no matter what class you play. the shredder autopistol does an excellent job in shredding through specialists, gunners and all that stuff when theres too much gunfire to stay on the frontline. maniac enemies in particular can be taken out from a safe distance (around 5-20m away). you can use the sprint fire to suppress gunners for a temporary ceasefire while you close the gap. useless on every other class but since you have infinite ammo its an excellent tech. you can spray into mixed hordes so long as theres a stray special/elite to kill every couple clips. dont be afraid to go out of ammo since you can very easily get ammo back in melee anyway
the stimm is for bosses only, since were going straight down the middle so as to save points for rampage you wont be getting as much stimm cooldown as your used to. luckily theres not many situations that require it so ive personally not been lacking in stimms when needed. other situations to pop a stimm is when you get toughness broken in an open line of fire and if rampage runs out before you can mow through the armour pack
unless your doing a heavy slide attack while closing the gap, you can use light attacks for everything. this allows hyper crit and violence to procc as much as possible, leading to literal lawnmower moments with elite packs. you want to save the rampage for when you need the armour piercing against the flak on gunners, or carapace on melee.
alternate attack pattern for carapace: light, heavy, light, light, heavy repeat. on paper its slightly more damage than light spamming, but factor in hyper critical and it generally evens out so entirely up to you. ive used both patterns to shred through crusher packs just fine
another fun little tech: you hit so damn fast with the tax that you can sustain rampage for well over a minute when spamming lights on a boss or chief. the speed at which you kill a chief shield is in the same league as the eviscerator or power maul. therefore, you are the chief killer.
for twins you want to be spammling lights as usual, but a horde often spawns with them so you want to switch between targeting the horde until you get a kill or 2, then switch back to the twin-boss for hyper violence proccs.
breakpoints: dont bother, scum has so much dynamic dps that its not worth figuring out. however, light attack critical headshots with rampage active will do about 1k damage per hit to a crusher, rivalling the duelling sword for dps.
rocket is there because its a rocket, but also because it requires no point maintainence like the other 2 do to max their potential.
the big weakness is you cant tank overheads, and for that reason alone this build, along with all other rampage builds, should only be run if you are an expert at dodging. if you are one of those arby mains who do havocs but never bothered to learn dodging then havoc is going to crush you (get it?) if you are not an expert and still wanna run this build, you can simply run behind your frontline whenever the crushers arrive and snipe specials and flak, or just shoot the rocket of course.
also we dont have any revive speed so leave the revs for the zealots, vets and oggies. if you need to rev in a pinch you can pop rampage to stagger everything around the fella and pray you dont get shot. if you dont like this fact feel free to switch out a couple toughness perks on curios to rev speed
thats about it. its a havoc 40 approved build with multiple topscoring games so it will serve you well
