Description
Now that people have realized Hive Scum isn't all that bad, the class itself is actually a ton of fun. It's definitely the glass-cannon class it makes itself out to be. The build i've made here is leaning more into agility and landing those SWEET crit hits. Let's go over the major factors of the build, shall we?
The AXE! Now, I initially didn't care to use the Atrox Mk VII Tactical Axe at first, but a friend of mine (Shoutout to you, bru!) had suggested I use it on Scum. After using it on an Auric mission, I became the Danny Devito meme. Oh my god. I get it. The one thing that really made it worth using, is the attack pattern. Using the combo H1, H2 & Weapon Special can DEMOLISH Crushers, Reapers, and Bulwarks with ease, provided you angle your attacks when needed. But if you proc Rampage! and using your Stim, you will decimate everything and anything in your path. I have exclusively used this combo when playing Aurics to dispose of any bigger foes in our way. Pairing the aforementioned abilities is what will really up your damage.
Abilities and Movement! Joining these two points here because they both play a big role in making the build work. The nodes Nimble, Jittery, and Like the Wind are essentially the foundation. What do I mean by that? Well, as you know, Scum is one of, if not the most MOBILE class in the game, rivalling Knife Invis Zealot in terms of speed. And since Scum is the definitive glass-cannon of the game, you NEED to avoid as many attacks as you can, so you can land these attacks. Positioning and timing are key. Even if you don't get those heavy attacks to hit, Adrenaline Frenzy is your fallback. Gaining more attack speed is never bad thing. But landing those crits will give you an additional stack.
The Dual Magnums! I'll be honest, the Magnums are really just there to provide you a way to snipe long-distance targets that you can't really get to, or need to stop ASAP, like Scab Trapper's and Scab Sniper's. The Weapon Special is the best way for you to snipe them. Otherwise, the guns aren't really too integral to the build.
That's my build! Feel free to use this for Aurics or Havoc games!
