Chorus Build Guide (Support Melee Zealot)

Overview

This is a support-focused melee build recommended for players pushing Havoc 40 rankings. While it deals significant damage, its main strength is providing the Chorus ultimate ability - one of the most useful abilities in Havoc mode. The goal is to maintain Chorus uptime as much as possible while supporting your team.

Weapons

Melee: Combat Blade (Kachchan Mark 6)

Blessings:

• Lacerate - Applies bleed stacks on first hit, useful for boss damage
• Uncanny Strike - Essential for killing Crushers

Perks:

• Flak - For medium armor targets (your priority)
• Unyielding - Contributes to boss damage

Why this weapon? The Mark 6's heavy attack is superior to the Mark III.

Ranged: Bolt Gun

The strategy is to dump ammo quickly and return to melee. Meleeing with crits gives maximum cooldown reduction, which means more Chorus uptime = more wins.

Curios

• Triple Toughness across all three curios
• Combat Ability Regeneration
• Stamina Regeneration
• Revive Speed for allies

Talents

Defensive Foundation

• Focused on defensive talents for survivability
• Second Wind passive
• Purge the Unclean and Duelist - Better boss clear and horde management

Grenade: Stunstorm

Important: Only use when absolutely necessary!

• Save for critical moments - downed allies in massive hordes or clutch objectives
• Don't waste them on situations you can handle normally
• Don't steal grenades from teammates unnecessarily

Support Skills

• Sustained Assault
• Holy Revenant
• Shield of Contempt
• Providence - Gives 60%+ revive speed (you're the ultimate team reviver!)
• Good Balance
• Beacon of Purity - Counters corruption from gas, melee attacks, and Havoc modifiers

Chorus Ability: Chorus of Spiritual Fortitude

Key Nodes:

• Offense node: Ecclesiast's Call

How It Works:

• Every second pulse staggers enemies (including bosses)
• Pro tip: Start reviving or taking action immediately after a pulse for maximum knockback time
• Mutants and bosses require two pulses to knock back

Playstyle:

You are extremely tanky - don't be afraid! Run into the middle of enemy hordes with your speed and toughness, pop Chorus to disrupt everything, then let your team close the gap and destroy.

Damage Talents

• Take damage nodes on the right side
• Enduring Faith
• Invocation of Death
• Scourge
• Blinded by Blood
• Blazing Piety (both sides) - Gives team 10% crit chance (very potent!)

Combat Strategy: Lacerate Synergy

The Lacerate blessing is key to this build's effectiveness:

1. First hit: Light attack to the body applies bleed
2. This gives you 30% additional crit chance against that enemy
3. Enemy takes 15% extra damage from ALL sources (not just you!)
4. Continue attacking to stack crit chance

Always start combos with a quick body hit to apply Lacerate, then continue your attack chain. This multiplies damage for your entire team.

This build brings heavy damage while providing incredible team support through Chorus disruption, fast revives, team crit buffs, and damage multiplication via Lacerate. You're nearly unkillable, so play aggressively to maximize your impact!
