Description
This is a high-skill Veteran build focused on weakspot damage and crits using the Infantry Lasgun. It rewards consistent headshots with strong elite and specialist removal, excellent ammo efficiency, and reliable toughness sustain.
This build is designed around the Kantrael MG VII and MG IX, as both thrive with precision shots. The MG IX hits harder but fires slower, while the MG VII offers the best overall balance of damage, stability, and fire rate for sustained pressure. The MG IIb is not considered due to lower damage output and excessive input strain for minimal payoff. However on PC, if you use the automatic shooting mod, it could be viable. Take +25% Damage to Flak and +5% Increase Ranged Critical Strike Chance, for the perks, and Headhunter + Deadly Accurate for blessings to build reliable crits and double critical headshot damage.
Melee is handled by the Cadia Mark IV Assault Chainsword, chosen for its strong damage profile, lore consistency as standard Guardsman sergeant equipment, and because it can reliably one-shot most elites and specialists—especially Mutants with the special attack. Take +25% Damage to Flak and Maniac as the perks and Wrath + Rampage for blessings to carve through poxwalker hordes.
Use the Survivalist Aura (replenish 1% ammo for you and allies in coherency whenever any of you kill an Elite or Specialist, can occur every 5 seconds) for team ammo support. You’ll rarely need to stock up on ammo tins or stashes thanks to the large ammo pool of the Infantry Lasguns.
Finally, take the Keystone: Marksman’s Focus, along with the modifiers Chink in Their Armour and Long Range Assassin. Marksman’s Focus grants 3 stacks of Focus on ranged weakspot kills (up to 10 max stacks, lasting 5 seconds, refreshed on weakspot hits and decaying one at a time). Each stack provides +7.5% Ranged Finesse Strength and +1% Reload Speed. Chink in Their Armour adds +15% Rending when at or over 10 Focus stacks, while Long Range Assassin increases maximum Focus stacks from 10 to 15.
