I used to run combat blade on my inferno builds.. i don't bother anymore.. dueling sword is enough and has premium armour kill.. the small amount of mobility superiourity that combat blade has over dueling sword is not enough to save you in a havoc.. you can't solo a havoc as an inferno psyker anyways, so zipping away from the team at mach 10 won't do a whole lot.. because you can't survive on your own.. so i go dueling swords in inferno builds to help with armour to be honest. I think it's better, and agile on the dueling sword combined with anticipation means you have infinite dodges to stay immune to harm for longer.. personally though.. I run relentless strikes with uncanny.. i put agile in here for the average player.. as far as i'm concerned.. in havoc.. if i need more than the 5 pretty big dodges that dueling sword gives you.. and they are pretty spammable since you have anticipation.. so i dunno.. i generally find if i need more than that.. i'm dead anyways.. where as.. with purg armour debuff + uncanny + relentless strike.. i can basically rip through armour really fast for the team.. like it really helps a lot with armour spam.. i know some run thrust.. i personally don't in a lot of psyker builds because .. to make thrust work well. you need attack speed.. and only hybrid psyker builds run that. so here.. you will find that you will get more mileage from and safety from not worrying about how long you are poking for.. and also debuff from uncanny happens A LOT faster when you aren't charging up a poke for longer. like i just spam pokes and before i end up at the target.. i also blast them with inferno so they are debuffed.. the combination is brutal vs armour and they die really fast. like you can work through 5 crushers in a matter of seconds.. it's very strong. so imo this is a better setup.. but again.. i put agile there because it will keep an inexperienced or shit psyker alive for longer in a heated fight.. like it's so easy to keep going.. any idiot can play agile.. so it's their for as the default choice.. but if you're an experienced player i highly recommend relentless strikes. it makes what you are trying to do with the dueling sword happen much faster.. like the only reason to bring a dueling sword on a inferno build is to be reasonably mobile and to kill armour fast.. this makes it happen a lot faster.. so it's an easy choice for a good player.

 

also i understand a lot of people run wildfire.. and that makes sense in plague builds where soul blaze application is tied to crit.. but with an inferno staff, wildfire never makes sense.. the staff is the wildfire.. it literally spreads everywhere.. here you are using assail for quick right click range picking.. and assail on debuff(blast primary into trash for empyric shock debuff+armour debuff and then chuck assail spenditure alotment to really wind out some damage.. it's a good combo) and so wilfire.. just really isn't necessary as you aren't going to give a fuck about maximizing spread since.. assail is going mop up anyways.. and if it doesn't, inferno combo casting will.. it's just redundant.. like you have an alotment of assail.. you should always be striving to spend 3-5 shards regularly.. because they regen fast.. and not using them is a waste.. it's good damage with the double debuffs from staff primary.. so just do it. it's free effective output. and assail clears when you combine it with debuffs and soul blaze.. so wildfire won't go anywhere.. since the targets are already dead.. it's just a waste tbh.. so instead we run quietude because since you don't need empyric resolve.. because yeah.. inferno is just easy to manage with peril.. like brain dead.. but you still generate a lot of peril when needed.. like normally you wouldn't.. but with inferno + assail you do have decent peril generation.. SO with all your toughness hots and quietude.. you can literally always regen toughness.. and so we run toughness regen speed because you will ALWAYS be activating toughness regen which means.. that your toughness bar will move STUPIDLY FAST.. and this will keep you alive.. stam regen.. isn't needed.. if you get backed into a corner, you're dead anyways.. and psyker has pretty strong stam regen for dueling sword/combat blade by default.. so you don't need it.. max toughness and regen will keep you alive longer.

 

PRO TIP: a nice thing about this build is the inferno staff primary fire can double debuff big swathes of enemies and assail then does WAY more as a result.. it's pretty good mop up damage.

Use right click to kill specialist and ranged enemies with assail.
