Description
Build Alternative:
- If you feel uncomfortable without Gunner Damage Reduction, Replace 5% toughness on 1 to 2 curios with 20% Gunner Damage Reduction.
- Ally Revive Speed is Havoc Specific, but if you think you are the type of player to get down first, replace 2 of them with Gunner Resistence, Toughness or health.
- Replacing 1 Toughness Curio with a Health Curio is fine, but you will need to be much more aware of your overall tankiness. ( wouldn't Recommand )
- Riposte on the Maccabian Mk IV Duelling Sword is more consistent that Thrust in term of damage output considering the weapon damage calc against any types while criting, but if you spend more time using your melee and specifically against Rotten Armour then thrust is a good alternative. Keep in mind tho, that your main role with this build is to disrupt the Carapace armored enemies while clearing hordes which by the very definition, will ask you to keep using your Staff.
- If you Prefer more mobility for your Melee option ( and do not face rotten armor ) then the Catachan Mk VI Combat Blade with damage as a dump stat ( 60% ); Blessed with Uncanny Strike and Riposte and perked with Unyielding and Flak is a better choice. ( with the added benefit of doing a better job against Monstrosities and Mutant.
- If you have a harder time using the Telekine Shield , or encounter a lot of enemy fire, then change it to Telekine Dome. You will loose immediate defense capabilities and stopping power for more toughness regenation and a more stable static position.
Strength:
- Without being as strong as the Rifthaven Mk II Inferno Force Staff for horde clear, it will still do an exelent job at it ( will require more precision and understanding of aiming for this specific weapon ). Killing up to 40-50 ennemies in one stomp happen often in tighter spaces.
- Can and will knock down every enemy ( Including Rotten Armour Crusher ) in the game apart from bosses, and will go trough bulwark shields.
- Considering the 2 charges of Telekine Shield and Kinetic Resonance, you will do great against any kind of range enemies.
- The Brittleness stack applied by your staff give great support cababilities and damage boost to your entire team against priority targets. ( Even while meleing bosses, always apply 2 fully charges stomps to the target before doing so as to increase your teams damage.
- Can and will give your team Enough space to fight in any situation apart from being cornered by a boss. ( in which case you can still disrupt and kill a very important part of the horde )
Weakness:
- Considering your constant use of the Equinox Mk III Voidblast Force Staff secondary attack, you are very slow, and will need quick reaction to switch to your melee Weapon to avoid, and create distance.
- Have an extremely hard time dealing with Bosses ( Scab Captain, Rinda Karnak and monstrosities ) on your own. Even so you can support massively your team against them, and deal consistent damage with Brain Rupture or heavy melees, it's too slow dps to realistically fight against a boss and any secondary threat at the same time alone.
- Will require a better mastery of the staff than any other, the aiming system being unique and the understanding of the damage / disruption / charge rate needing experience to understand.
- As you're using Telekine Shield, you do not give your team Toughness regeneration, which in turn will ether ask a Chorus of Spiritual Fortitude Zealot or a Voice of Command Veteran to be on your team.
Conclusion:
Is it Meta ? most likely not. Is it very strong at what it's doing, definitly yes !
Is it fun ? I would say so, but you will make your own idea once you start using it.
Does it have Team specific requirements ? Apart from having a Zealot or a Veteran with golden toughness abilities on your team, no, everything else is free to use. Considering the pure mayhem that you're creating, it will cause difficulties for any range builds, but will favor melee builds with long preparation time ( Crucis Mk II Thunder Hammer build, Karsolas Mk II Delver's Pickaxe build, etc etc ).
Have fun, Try it out !
