PROS AND CONS
- PROS: Carapace/tank deleter, good into mixed hoards, good boss damage, very fast rotations, elite sniping, and flexibility, both in the build set up and your playstyle.
- CONS: Unlike zealot and other melee classes, Psyker is squishy, this build will remind you of that if you make a mistake. You do NOT have a get out of jail free card. Only other con is its not flame staff
WEAPONS
Mk VI BLAZE GREATSWORD: For blessings, every sword will be running riposte, it is much too valuable for this build. For the second blessing, you have three high tier options. Unstable power, a very consistent damage boost option, lower high output than one of the other options, but will ALWAYS bring value the entire match. My personal choice. Deflector, this option gives you a lot of safety, while it is not exactly needed due to the secondary we bring, it is still welcome. Again, a very consistently valuable blessing. Precognition is the last blessing id place in S tier for this weapon. It provides a huge boost to the headshot crits, which is what this build specializes in. (BGS does just under 1000 across all non cara enemy types with a crit headshot prebuffs.) However, it is harder to take advantage of due to the window of time given. This blessing is mainly if you really wanna kill crushers faster, as for most enemies its overkill. Still a top tier choice.
How to use the sword? Heavy 1->heavy 2, light 1->heavy 2, both work just fine. Heavy heavy is preferable for most cara enemies. Just throw warpslice through mixed hoards whenever max charge, aside from that you shouldnt really be hoard clearing with the sword. The swords push attack is different to most every other weapon, but its still insanely useful. Instead of dealing any real damage, it deals exactly 1. In return it will stagger any non boss enemy. This is your get off me and frontline control tool.
ASSAIL: This is your hoard clear, throw these out whenever to control the density of hoards, they'll pick up specialist kills and often find your disrupt destiny targets, this is also the easiest way for you to stack Malefic Momentum, giving you a fat 25% damage boost to your sword.
- Mk II LASPISTOL: This is your utility weapon, even so it packs quite a punch into bosses and reapers. This is your mobility tool, pull this out to get fast rotates, pairing very well with Warp Speed and Disrupt Destiny . Mobility is not all that the pistol offers however, its a very good specialist sniper and should be used as such. The lastpistol has a high critrate base, pairing it with +5% crit and even scriers gaze, allows almost every shot to crit. Using this with Empathic Evasion allows you to have a panic button for when you are stuck out in the open with a bunch of gunners looking your way. Just body shot the biggest target and be entirely safe.
ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS
- BRAIN RUPTURE: If youd prefer brain rupture for its burst on rot armour or just prefer it, it is not a terrible option in the slightest, id argue stronger than assail by a decent bit in havoc 40s. Drop assail and Maleific Momentum for Brain Rupture and the Kinetic Flayer node.
- RECON LASGUN: This is worse than laspistol in most ways, but still very viable. Perks and blessings will be the same, however there is a case to be made for headhunter over dumdum. If you are going to use this weapon use the MkVIc, it has the best ammo efficiency while keeping decent damage and Empathic Evasion uptime.
