Talent Tree
Description
THE BLOODY SAINT is a variant of The Saint build, which combines the Chorus of Spiritual Fortitude ability's invaluable CC & utility with the plethora of buffs the Martyrdom keystone gives us. The Saint brings CC, utility and decent damage to any team composition.
The Bloody Saint utilizes the Heavy Eviscerator's Bloodthirsty blessing to lean heavily into revv'd attacks, which are now guaranteed crits on chained kills. Revvs for the Revv God!
RECOMMENDED WEAPONS:
Melee: Heavy Eviscerator 15
Ranged: Bolt Pistols, Bolters, Flamers, Shotguns
The Bloody Saint utilizes the Heavy Eviscerator's Bloodthirsty blessing to lean heavily into revv'd attacks, which are now guaranteed crits on chained kills. Revvs for the Revv God!
We ideally use chained revv'd lights for horde clear and chained revv'd heavies for single target damage to maximize value from the Bloodthirsty blessing. Our frequents crits boost not only our offence, but also synergize with Enduring Faith in our talent tree, boosting our survivability with +40% TDR for 4s on crit.
BLITZ: BLADES OF FAITH
Regenerating throwing knives that are just oh so useful and fun to use. An excellent tool for popping bursters (WHEN IT'S SAFE... RIGHT?) and occasionally styling on snipers, aim permitting.
ABILITY: CHORUS OF SPIRITUAL FORTITUDE (CHORUS)
Chorus is an incredibly powerful control tool, combining on demand CC with strong team buffs. Chorus can be used reactively to buy time and boost our team's defensive capabilities with gold toughness, or offensively to take space or reposition. We take Ecclesiarch's Call for the +30% team damage buff for 10s.
Tip: Chorus often gets a bad rap at the higher levels of gameplay due to the channeled nature of the ability (the opportunity cost here is that you're not doing damage when you're channeling Chorus, plus it can be less engaging to play) however the value and comfort it can bring to both new & experienced teams cannot be understated.
KEYSTONE: MARTYRDOM (MARTY)
Marty is a monster of a keystone. At max stacks, we get +50% melee damage, +30% attack speed, and +37.5% TDR. All for maintaining low hp. VT2 Zealot fans rejoice! We take Maniac for the attack speed and I Shall Not Fall for the TDR, both significant boosts to melee prowess and survivability.
Tip: Fire barrels (red) and explosive barrels (yellow) are tools to help you build Marty stacks. Make sure it's safe before you detonate them :) Play to your comfort level and take healing when necessary. Your passive Until Death should influence your tempo.
ALTERNATE TALENTS:
This talent tree is 30/30 and is my preferred way of running this build.
To free up talent point(s), I'd suggest dropping: Duellist / Riposte / Hubris.
CURIOS:
The curios listed above are my preference for this build however this is based on how I like to play.
Use whatever best fits your playstyle however I find the most value in the set ups below, YMMV:
2 x Toughness / 1 x Stamina
2 x Toughness / 1 x HP
3 x Toughness
(Minor node priority picks are +toughness / +gunner res / +revive speed / +stamina regen).
