Description
Completed Havoc 40 with this build, super effiecient team also.
My Havoc Psyker build is a proper beast for pushing up to 40. It's the classic high-peril Soulblaze Inferno carry with solid Brain Rupture burst, wrapped in a very tanky bubble that keeps the whole team alive through the worst waves. Everything here was chosen to let me melt hordes effortlessly while still handling the big threats (Crushers, Bulwarks, monstrosities), and the sustain is stupidly strong so I can stay aggressive without getting deleted.
Weapons – the heart of the playstyle
Inferno Force Staff (Rifthaven Mk II) is my main gun for trash and hordes. Soulblaze is the star here – it stacks fast, and with my talents it spreads and ramps damage effectively. I swapped the Maniacs perk for +5% Ranged Crit because crits double the Soulblaze stacks on hits, and Warp Nexus already gives me strong crit at high peril. Pair that with the kept +25% Flak and I chew through elites and gunners way better. My high Burn/Cloud Radius stats make the flames stick and spread, turning dense packs into a self-sustaining firestorm.
Deimos Mk IV Blaze Force Sword is the perfect complement. I use it for melee cleanup, stagger, and when things get in my face. Deflector is god-tier with this playstyle – blocks ranged and melee with almost no cost, especially once I layer on Kinetic Deflection from talents. It feels great to dive in, warp-slice for peril gen, and heavy-attack priority targets.
Curios – why I'm so damn tanky
I went full sustain with one health curio and two toughness ones. The high Toughness Regen Speed on all three is the biggest winner – combined with my talents (Soulstealer, Souldrinker, Warp Ghost, etc.) my toughness basically refills itself every few seconds during combat. The Combat Ability Regen keeps my Dome and Rupture up more often. This setup gives me a fat health buffer while the toughness regen makes me feel unkillable in prolonged fights. It's perfect for Havoc where waves just don't stop.
Talents, Ability, and Keystone – the glue
I also run Warp Siphon and Inner Tranquillity for even better peril management and sustain at high peril. This also helps with uptime on the bubble shield usually getting to pop a second before fhe first it gone.
Telekine Dome + Sanctuary is my ability choice for team play in Havoc – the bubble blocks ranged fire, and Sanctuary gives everyone constant toughness regen inside it plus strong DR when it pops. It's clutch for holding positions or pushing through gun lines.
The rest of the tree is pure synergy:
High-peril nodes like Warp Rider (+damage as peril rises), One with the Warp (scaling toughness DR), and Warp Ghost (stamina + toughness on quelling) reward me for staying topped up on peril.
Soulblaze cluster with Perilous Combustion, Souldrinker, Soulstealer, and now Empyric Resolve (replacing Wildfire) makes my staff hit even harder at high peril while giving me excellent sustain and damage ramp.
I added Empathetic Evasion, Kinetic Deflection, and Mettle for extra toughness sustain, damage mitigation, and defensive layering.
Seer's Presence aura gives CDR for me and the team.
Defensive stuff like Solidity and Battle Meditation keeps me safe while spamming.
Everything clicks together around high peril + Soulblaze + layered sustain. No wasted points.
How to actually play it in Havoc 40
I stay aggressive but smart. I spam charged secondary on the staff to blanket hordes in Soulblaze. I alternate with primary bursts for stagger and suppression. I keep peril high (80-100%) for all the scaling bonuses; I quell only when I need to (my regen and Warp Resistance make it safe).
When elites or specials show up, I switch to the sword for quick parries or thrusts, or pop a Brain Rupture on Crushers/Bulwarks/monstrosities. The staff still chips them hard, especially with Empyric Resolve active.
I drop the Dome proactively on big ranged waves, boss phases, or when the team needs breathing room – the Sanctuary regen turns it into a mobile toughness station.
In practice on 40 I feel the power spike once Soulblaze gets rolling: Empyric Resolve ramps my warp damage and sustain at high peril, and suddenly the whole screen is burning. My new Dueling sword handles melee stragglers cleanly, and the addition of Empathetic Evasion, Kinetic Deflection, and Mettle makes my toughness barely dip thanks to the stacked regen loop. The stats calculated (roughly 188 HP, 215+ toughness with 38-43% DR, high crit on the staff, and insane regen) mean I can still play right in the thick of it.
This build was put together specifically for effortless trash clear with the staff, reliable big-target deletion, and enough toughness to survive Havoc’s bullshit without babysitting. It's consistent and forgiving for climbing ranks.
