Description
Initially I thought this out as a support orientated build but it turns out that it absolutely shits damage as well, making it a very strong all rounder.
HOW IT WORKS
- Voltaic Emitter with Redline and 3 capacitance generating nodes so we can charge level 2-3 Voltaics consistently.
- Voltaic does a lot of things for us, like turning off shooters, priming our Arc maul special attack and juicing our melee damage.
- Our Arc damage is what does most of the heavy lifting here. Between the talent System Shock and the blessing Voltergheist Overload, you can very delete mixed hordes all the way up to Havoc 40.
- The Phosphor pistol is, imo, the best side arm in the game. It adds a unique brittleness debuff while allowing for infinite cleave with Manstopper/Surgical. It also has high suppression for diving gunners.
- Flexible blitz/Aura: I like Artificer skull for the extra 15% damage debuff on top of Phosphor's, and the Med Skull is so insanely clutch in Havocs. That said, you can easily put these 2 points in Arc Nades/Forcefield. You can also switch the aura if that is your preference (Resurgence is actually pretty good when everyone stays in Coherency).
Play tips:
- Try not to spam Voltaic. There is a bit of a see-saw game going on here. We get bonuses for having stacks of ability charge in the form of Auto-Repair Doctrines and Retribution Conduit. However we also get bonuses from Redline stacks which we ideally want to keep at 3 or above all game. There will be instances where you have to spam Voltaic but it's better to save charges where you can.
- I lean on the Phosphor Pistol a lot. It is an excellent specialist sniper and boss debuffer, and pretty decent and deleting clumps of shooters.
- One weakness of this build is fairly poor boss damage: we help bosses go away faster with our debuffs but you really do want someone that can do high burst damage to Monsters on your squad.
- You can frontline, but I prefer to play this class from the middle. Voltaic plays a bit like Psyker imo, where it's good to keep an eye on what's happening around you, so you can shut that shit down when it gets spicey.
- Other than that, there's not really a lot to it. Hit stuff a lot, electrocute stuff a lot, abuse your Arc Maul special as much as you can.
Enjoy!
