ULTIMATE UNCONTESTED META SETUP for skitarii, basically plays like a sidegrade of veteran but slightly worse/better depending on the situation

WEAPONS

(all tested on auric, havoc might be different since no more one-tap breakpoint for plasmagun :( )

MELEE

shock maul synergizes great with electrocution nodes and skullcrusher is always awesome to have. You could also run the arc maul or even the power falchion which I found works pretty well. For shock maul your special will insta-apply the dot debuff to larger enemies like crusher and bosses so dont forget, also its DISGUSTING into captain shields which is fantastic for dealing with those chuds in havoc

RANGED

I found both variants of the plasma gun to be standouts for different reasons... mk II lets you one-tap every ranged elite or special in the game with your buffs up which is self-explanatory. curiously for mk III if you build it for charge speed you can do a funny meme thing where you nuke massive clumps of enemy for insane damage. from what I can tell it doesnt care at all about hit mass making it essentially a psyker voidblast on steroids. seriously this thing laughs at mixed hordes, you make any amount of armor your @*)!@ (insofar as they dont spread out too much). consider using it at chokepoint with some form of cc to hold enemies in place (ogryn taunt, shockmine, etc.)

If you dont like any of that you could just use phosphor ig or even arc rifle, less fancy but gets the job done

IMPORTANT NODES

we're taking three capacitance nodes since we want as much as possible for redline synergy. no crit node sadly since our weapons arent as optimized for it and we get more damage elsewhere.

advanced power management is crucial for redline and what makes the build work. ult whenever you want big damage, thats it. this is what juices your plasma gun to hit those juicy one-tap breakpoints for all the important enemies you care about killing fast. surge extension is a comfy pick that makes you very very tanky.

your dr nodes are residual current buffer, galv coating, threat detection imperative and plating matrix... combined you get hella tanky and can bum rush most situations given youre actively killing enemies.

taking the first node for servo skull lets us make use of that 15% dmg vuln for any enemy we want whenever we want, which is very very nice. taking more nodes is basically pointless:

medicae (you dont need it if ur teammates arent ass)

flamer (why, this thing is worse than zealot nades)

command (you already crossmap instanuke specials and it eats ur capacitance which you NEED)

chordclaw brings the build together by letting you contend with mixed horde up close and get out of sticky situations. also very nice into bosses, so use that when you can (aim for weakspot ofc). you could also just swing at the air to juice up ur plasma if you need it since it recharges so quickly... you get a huge damage boost just for using it.

OVERALL POWER LEVEL: A-

good job fatshark on making veteran, but again!!! now wait another two years for a real map
