Aggressively controlling the battlefield through constant stagger/suppression and explosive momentum. That's everything this build is about. Played right, and utilizing the remote detonation off your Mastiff for packs of enemies, will let you bring solid damage as well. 

 

The Forceful buff will stack quickly and at full momentum, you will even be able to bully Crushers with two to three quick attacks. You can repeatedly disrupt entire hordes, keeping enemies off balance and increasing damage against staggered targets, turning every knockdown, shockwave, and electric blast into a devastating follow-up on anything within coherency for your team. 

 

Utilized effectively, Break the Line will recharge every 15-16 seconds, allowing you to floor whole packs of Crushers, Maulers, and Maniacs leaving them wiggling on the floor so you can hammer them with reckless abandon.  Throwing out your shock shield's special (when charged) will suppress even mid ranged enemies, turning that charging horde of melee enemies with gunners in the back, into stumbling idiots long enough for your group to counterattack.

 

The shotgun is flexible, I just like it for the theme and for the ability to quick swap and pick off the random sniper, trapper, or bomber. But anything from the revolver to the bolt pistol will work. 

 

The result is a relentless frontline build that dominates crowds, controls elite packs, and creates safe openings for both you and your team while maintaining exceptional offensive pressure.
