Description
Chainaxe
I love the chainaxe but it doesn't feel that great as your primary damage dealing weapon. However, on a recon lasgun veteran build it works surprisingly well. The mk XII chainaxe relies heavily on push attacks for horde clear. Because we are taking Shock Trooper, we also get the 0.25s stamina regen delay reduction node above it. This allows us to perform very frequent push attacks.
We take Slaughterer over Headtaker because Headtaker does not affect DoT damage but Slaughterer does. Therefore, the bleed from Bloodletter, frag grenades, and Serrated Blade, as well as the burn from our recon lasgun can get up to a 40% damage increase.
