This build has been tried and tested in Havoc 40.
Since Zealots have some efficiency issues compared to other classes, this build focuses on a playstyle where the Zealot does useful work as often as possible.
Best friends of this build: A Nuncio-Aquila Arbitrator allows for super aggressive melee gameplay and his dog is an greast tool for taking down poxbombers.
Artemia Mk III Purgation Flamer (Maniacs, Unarmored)
The flamer’s primary attack is your bread and butter, u s e y o u r a m m o!
The flamer is your most versatile tool so remember to a l w a y s reload when you have the spare time.
Use it to:
- control hordes through massive stagger
- hold chokepoints
- push
- keep pressure of the team
- prevent ambushes
- apply brittleness
Just be aware of your positioning, use your ammo conservatively and you will be surprised by how long a full magazine can last while
LMB-controlling the horde.
__________________________________________________________
The flamer's secondary attack is for:
- heavy mixed hordes
- "Oh fuck" situations
- Dying a glorious death in the E m p e r o r 's name
The strength + brittleness boost from Blaze Away and Penetrating Flame is mandatory.
The talent Anoint in Blood gives "up to +25% Base range damage reduced the further away you are from the target" is good, but optional since the flamer already does a lot of dmg.
A half-mag dump, meaning 16 out of 32 ammo, can kill almost anything in seconds, except Crushers and monstrosities.

Fury of the Faithful + Until Death + Zealous Pilgrim rotation
When you hit 1hp, you need to manage your cooldowns for Fury of the Faithful and Until Death
Your rotation should be something akin to
- Activate Munitorum Mk II Relic Blade and Fury of the Faithful and play aggresively. Manage the Relic blade's heat and when you need it to cool.
- Back up and crowd-control with Artemia Mk III Purgation Flamer.
- Repeat step 1.
- Remember that you can have immortality for up to 16 seconds if everything is on off cooldown.
- Don't hesitate to use your Until death timer for a Flamer mag-dump. Until death lasts for 8 seconds now which gives ample time to clear a horde with a half mag dump.
Munitorum Mk II Relic Blade (Unyielding, Carapace)
You can go after any target and do some serious melee damage with this build.
- Both Captains and Twins can be killed in 1 shield break if you time Holy Tools correctly with Fury of the Faithful, provided you are at low hp.
- You have a l o t of cleave with the sword when it's charged up so use heavy attack chains on heavy armor hordes.
- For horde clearing you have three horizontal strikes with Block-attack--> heavy--->heavy but since this combo eats stamina fast I use the following curio and talent for maximizing both the offensive and defensive capacity of the zealot.
- +3 Stamina curio, +12% Stamina regeneration and the talent Retaliatory Defence which restores 50% stamina on block break.
