Description
my take on plasma gun veteran, stand a bit behind the frontline and one shot every specialist and elite enemy while keeping the horde off you with the power sword.
my opinions largely align with reficus on this playstyle, anything this build does well skitarii or hive scum do better.
Support Veteran is still the best force multiplier in the game remains an exceptionally strong build even in H40, however the classic veteran playstyle i learned in 2023 requires playing your entire heart out just to do what every DLC does with almost minimal thought.
My opinions differ where a potential fix could be found for this, i do not believe that just making Fully Loaded an innate talent of and moving Shock Trooper to its place and giving veteran another skill point is really going to make him that much more viable in H40.
Veteran needs some level of additional lethality that doesnt require much commitment. as it stands veteran pretty much has to completely build around achieving one aspect of other successful H40 builds. giving him more flat and unconditional bonuses that arent just meh would be my suggestion
