Looking for one more point to trade in to get Righteous Warrior
Praise the Master of Mankind, a new Zealot has hit the mourningstar
This is an evolution of a personal build I have used throughout the game during the days where I played Zealot. It's not optimised, but to me it fulfills a theme and playstyle I personally enjoy.
This build, not too different from other aggressive builds, will rely on Critical strikes, applying Damage Over Time (DOT), Crowd Control and general support while being incredibly hard to take down thanks to the new features of Unkillable.
Top of the tree
For Toughness regeneration we rely on Second Wind and Vicious Offering. As a Zealot wielding the weapons recommended in this build you will frequently be in the midst of the fight, swinging heavy attacks and dodging on audio cue. Due to the high percentages of toughness this regenerates, and the Toughness Damage Resistance (TDR) later in the tree, I chose not to run the passive Toughness accumulation that Enemies Within, Enemies Withoutprovides. @wait in line provides some lenience against ranged attacks
For the Damage talents we almost automatically pick Disdain and follow into Duellist and Purge the Unclean [TO BE CONTINUED]
Blitz
I like Immolation grenade :)
Until Death Keystone
With the changes to Until Death, now granting a new keyword Unkillable, open up new avenues for when this keyword is active. We pick @Zealous Pilgrim and @Fire and Fury to grant us the Unkillable keyword as often as possible and let us start burning enemies
Middle of the tree
Aura
For the Aura, I put the default on Beacon of Purity to solve problems that might arise by corruption. Mostly important during goop Havoc modifiers. If it's not your style, Benediction is a top tier aura that's probably a better pick than Beacon.
Bottom of the tree
For the last stretch of the build we move to the left side of the tree. Invocation of Death helps us get our ability, thus unkillable, more often. We take Scourge which can now let us bleed our opponents and allows us to crit even more, looping us into shorter cooldowns and procs for Piety further down. That pairs with Blinded by Blood which makes bleeding targets take more damage. This is great for boss damage and reaps larger damage ticks if we manage to light our target on fire.Enduring Faith helps us be even more resilient while we are deep in the fray and hitting crits. Then at last we reach our keystone Blazing Piety which makes us crit more and more paired with Stalwartto become nearly invincible.
