Wield the Wrath of the Beneficent Emperor

With great mobility, damage, and amazing survivability, this build makes brawling and charging through the emperor's toughest battles a breeze. Charge into heretics and swing for the fences. Shrug off their blows and leave them as bleeding, burning messes across Tertium.

Weapons and Equipment

The Munitorum Mk II Relic Blade features great horde clear and single target damage. Utilizing the push attack combo for hordes gives excellent performance into mixed groups of enemies, including flak and carapace. the strike down combo, while needing one leading attack to access, is your go to for killing elites and dueling bosses. We take unyielding and carapace for dealing with the toughest targets, as flak poses little threat to our build. Cranial Grounding gives us extra weakspot damage all the time and helps keep us empowered for longer. I've found Wrath to give me the most consistent performance into armor, but you can swap it out for Heat Sink or Rampage to your taste. You can also run the Mk X if you prefer. The Godwyn-Branx Mk IV Bolt Pistol is our go-to ranged option for sniping specials and softening gunner groups. Puncture has extra synergy with our Scourge talent, since starting the bleed early means more crits when we close the gap. That being said, the new Huntsman Shotgun performs well on this build thanks to benefiting from Blazing Piety, which would not be the case if we ran Martyrdom instead. I recommend No Respite and Full Bore with flak and unyielding on the Huntsman. Curious provide a strong blend of utility and defense to enable our aggressive ability focused playstyle.

Skills

The defensive nodes taken up top give us great ways of generating toughness. Throwing knives are my preference for helping with ammo economy when sniping specials, with the added benefit of leaving nade pickups for the rest of the team. Choose whichever nade you prefer. Zealous Pilgrim, Risen, and Fire and Fury bring us fire damage and impeccable survivability both on demand and in a pinch. Punish Impiety gives us extra value for using our push-attack combo, giving us a nice attack speed boost both in and out of Fury of the Faithful (FOTF). Taking both FOTF modes gives us more charges and a jump start on cooldown if we use it for a kill. This, combined with Pious Cut-Throat and our curious means you will almost NEVER have to wait on the FOTF cooldown when you need it. For our keystone selection, we go with Blazing Piety. This has incredible up-time, being active for every fight in a match. The defensive bonus we get from Stalwart and Enduring faith, on top of all our other toughness regen, on top of generating toughness on spamming FOTF, on top of Risen and Until Death, make us VERY hard to put down. The fire damage we get on FOTF compliments the bleed from Scourge incredibly well. The two melee nodes on the bottom row and Riposte go a long way for bolstering our damage numbers. Riposte, like Second Wind and Duelist, give incredible value for doing what we already want to do, dodging. It is very easy to have consistent uptime on these skills in the general flow of combat.

Conclusion

As compared to Martrydom, this build sacrifices only a little damage potential for greatly improved ease of use and survivabilty. If you want to jump into a match, have a great time, and top frag because you lived instead of getting downed by a random bit of damage on 1 hp, this build is for you.
