Description
This build is designed to be a tough, melee-focused frontline tank capable of dealing with clearing hordes and able to go toe-to-toe with elite enemies.
The Tigrus Mk III Heavy Eviscerator is key to this build, a powerful weapon capable of butchering entire hordes of enemies just with light attacks, and by starting out every encounter with a block to sweep, you can instantly gain the 36% damage boost. Keep swinging to increase your critical chance, which works nicely with skills like Scourge, Invocation of Death, and of course Blazing Piety.
The ranged weapon with this build is the Agripinaa Mk I Infantry Autogun which works quite well as a close-range rifle that allows you to deal with threats at medium range if you burst-fire. Works best hip-fired in my experience, and does a good job against flak-armored enemies. You can swap it out with other close-range weapons like the Braced Autogun, a Combat Shotgun, or even an Infantry Lasgun if you want something a bit better for ranged combat, but I prefer the Infantry Autogun to keep my focus on close-range and melee combat; ranged threats should be dealt with by the Veteran or gun-lugger Ogryn.
Your main job is to get out front and swing your Eviscerator until nothing remains. You have several skills that will boost your damage output to ensure that enemies are wiped out, though admittedly the new shield enemies will put a hamper on that a bit. In those situations, your best bet is to pull out the ranged weapon and go for headshots.
Immolation Grenade is useful for softening up hordes of enemies, though you can also go with the Sunstorm Grenades if you want though I don't really see how that's much more useful in combat in comparison.
Chorus of Spiritual Fortitude helps you and your allies to have additional toughness and damage boosting when going into battle, particularly against heavier enemies. Invocation of Death alongside the critical boosts in the build means that you should get Chorus up and running fairly quickly.
