Mister E's Infinite Laspistol - Updated for Depth of the Damned
 Veteran Build - Warhammer 40k: Darktide 

This is a fan update to Mister E's Infinite Laspistol build for the skill tree rework in Depths of the Damned. Please see his attached video. 

How to Play TLDR:

• ADS with the Laspistol and shoot for weaspots. 
• Dodge while ADS to gain back Stamina
• When Hordes get close, activate your ability and clean them up with your Dueling Sword. 

Nodes Not Available in New Tree: 

• Toughness Boost (+15 Toughness)
• Stamina Boost (+1 Stamina)
• Stamina Regen Boost (0.25 second reduction)

Base Stat Buffs to the Veteran:

• Guardsman Iconic Passive - +25% Ranged Damage
• Base Toughness increased from 100 to 120
• Base Stamina Regen Delay from 0.75s to 0.5s

New Travel Nodes: 

• Desperado
• Skirmisher

Good Options for the Free Point:

• ⭐ Marksman
• Toughness Damage Reduction
• Serrated Blade (with the Combat Blade)
• Trench Fighter Drill

Nodes You Can Possibly Drop Now:

• Melee Damage Boost - this was a travel node in the last tree. It can come in handy but we're not really a melee focused build.

Melee Weapon Updates:

• Note: In his video, Mister E explains that Reposte's increased crit chance carried over to your Laspistol. This has since been proven NOT to be true and BigDom discussed this in the comments with Mister E. That being said, Reposte is still good and will still be used in this build.
• Dueling Sword MK IV - The previous build had Uncanny Strike and Reposte on the Dueling Sword but Uncanny Strike has since been reworked/nerfed. Mister E has since recommended the Dueling Sword with Reposte, Agile, Carapace, and Unyealiding so we will go with that. 
• Combat Blade MK VI - In my opinion, this is the next best option because it is also highly mobile. Pick whichever one you feel comfortable with. If you choose the Combat Blade, consider picking up Serrated Blade or Trench Fighter Drill in the skill tree. Both of them help you apply Bleed stacks faster. For perks and blessings you want Flak, Unyielding, Lacerate, and Reposte. 

Ranged Weapon Updates:

• Heavy Laspistol - this has the highest crit chance of any of the Las weapons and with Desperado, it is the clear choice for the build since we focus on crits. 
• If you want to change out the Laspistol, really any las weapon will work but just less optimally. Make sure you get crit chance in the perks and blessings to give yourself the best chance of success. 

Ability Selection:

• Voice of Command is used still to keep us safe when the Hordes get too close. It knocks them back and gives us some extra Toughness. 
• I can also see a version of this build that uses Executioner's Stance with a few changes. If you go this route, your melee weapon of choice is probably more important. You'll probably want something that can defend you a bit better.
