1-2 Extra Chained Energised Hits and 2.5-10% Impact on Energised Hits.
1-4 stacks of Brittleness on Energised Hit.
Chaining Charged Attacks reduces their Charge Time by -12--6%. Stacks 5 times.
PLAYSTYLE
Nothing but charged shots. Stacking onslaught and constantly pushing out charged shots allows you to access this build's full damage potential while maintaining a steady stream of damage.
Like a standard MGXII build, aim for keeping your focus fire up as much as you can, chaining shots on specials and shooters to maintain your damage reduction while replenishing toughness on elite kill.
Powersword with power cycler cuts through hordes and anything that gets close like butter.
WEAPON BREAKDOWN
The Lucius MK I with max charge rate + onslaught has the fire rate of a MGXII but can do some serious damage to armored targets. Lucius guns are severely underrated with the MK III being able to dispatch any target regardless of armor in 1-3 shots. The MK II can shoot as fast as an infantry Lasgun but cannot deal with armored targets at the same efficiency as a MK III.
The MK I is the best of both worlds, being able to kill armored targets with ease, while not being as slow as the MK III. The breakpoint to kill standard shooters with 1 charged shot to the body is reached and every unarmored special can be killed with a headshot.
The only downside to the MK I is it's abysmal ammo efficiency on uncharged shots, but with the fast charge time, you should only be firing charged shots at your targets.
Powersword with power cycler is standard for damnation difficulty, as no other melee on veteran can match it's usefulness.
FEATS
The feats are fairly standard and is designed to fulfill everything a veteran needs to do on damnation. Killing shooters, taking care of specials and dealing consistent ranged damage with minimal downtime.
FEATS BREAKDOWN
Lv5
Confirmed Kill- 50% toughness on elite kill is unbeatable by the other feats which are too conditional to be used by veteran.
Lv10
Tactical Reload- 20% reload speed is easily attainable due to the mag size of the Lucius guns always having a bit of ammo left over after firing.
Lv15
Covering fire- More up to player choice. Other options here are equally viable. I like to use Covering Fire to help out zealots and other melee teammates, but I bring Demolition team and Bio-optic targeting when I feel like it.
Lv20
Unwavering Focus- 75% toughness damage resist is constant in most combat situations.
Lv25
One after the other- More reload speed brings the gun to have a 60% reload speed under optimal situations. Crit rate is not needed, as many damage breakpoints are reached without crit.
Lv30
Counterfire- Shooters are a massive threat on higher difficulties. Counterfire highlights them and allows focus fire to reset it's cooldown off shooters while maintaining that 75% toughness damage reduction from Unwavering focus.
