PLAYSTYLE
Unload all bullets in gun until you have one bullet left. Put the gun away, as you will not touch it for the rest of the game.
Crucian Roulette is bugged(?) on the current patch and it's crit bonus applies to melee weapons.
With these feats and weapons, an almost permanent 97% toughness damage reduction is attainable.
Because of the aforementioned crucian roulette bug, your crit rate caps out at whatever the max crit rate is. This means if you're constantly attacking enemies and critting them, enemies both take the max stacks of bleed, Chastise the Wicked goes on a 3 second cooldown, and your 97% damage reduction is constantly active.
Any damage you take to your toughness can be instantly restored by using Chastise the Wicked.
WEAPON BREAKDOWN
Combat blade's heavy attack gives you a small speed boost that can be used to jump from target to target. The only required blessing would be Lacerate, as it is a cornerstone of any combat blade build. Lacerate and Flesh Tearer work to max out the bleed stacks on a target instantly after a couple hits, adding to your DPS.
This build works best if you have a high finesse stat on your combat blade, as that reduces your CD on Chastise the Wicked.
Any Headhunter Autogun can be used in the gun slot, as long as it has Crucian on one of it's blessings. You aren't gonna be touching this thing anyways so it doesn't need to be good.
