Talent Tree
Description
When you need an endless stockpile of Krak Grenades, and then some more.
Most effective in those Melee Only/Monstruous Specialist Maelstroms where the Kraks remove the most dangerous threats in a pinch. Even though the skill tree is mostly selfish buffs, Voice of Command proves to be an extremely good supportive ability that allows you and your team to handle frontlines effectively.
[Gameplay]
- Focus Target is key to boost your damage, try to max it out for Monsters.
- The Krak grenades should be used for the Monstruosities first, and Bulwarks/Crushers flood second if your grenades are topped up. You handle the monsters by throwing a couple kraks and then finishing them off with a few headshots with the plama gun. Most of them die within 10s, and if there is another one you still have a spare krak and a heated up plasma for the sweet crits. And if your maelstrom has "Enhanced Blitz" (+2 grenade), go wild :)
- Voice of Command is essential to give you space to do your job, don't hesitate to use it to reposition when things are getting hectic, or even just to protect your teammates from a stray poxburster/pinned down by snipers (the bonus toughness from voice of command will negate all health damage). It has a very good uptime from Tactical Awareness node and curio perks if you run them, and if you get a Psyker they usually run Psykinetic Aura for even more CD reduction.
[Weapons]
- The Power Sword enables you to handle the frontline even with mixed armor in it thanks to the Slaughterer blessing. Activate the special pretty much all the time and do charged attacks for the chaff, and push-attack into light attack x2 for the armored enemies aiming for the head. I don't use the plasma as much for the armored but when there's a flood of them, it's still very effective to swap to it (mostly for the bulwarks as they can be annoying).
- The Plasma Gun will one shot headshot all specialist, 2 for Bulwarks and 3 for Crushers. Almost never use charged shots as it's not ammo efficient. Its pinpoint precision allows you to snipe anything, and no damage dropoff means you can kill Specialists before they become trouble. Reloading should not be a problem since it has a huge mag, it gives you time to find 7s of downtime to reload even in the most hectic maelstroms. It's pretty much OP so i don't feel like i really need to explain.
