Carry performance proven in Auric Damnation. Should perform particularly well in Melee Scabs no ammo modifier, but my testing didn't even use that modifier.

ROLE

You are a full glass cannon backliner whose only job is to stay safely positioned and dump incredible amounts of damage, using Vent proactively to help deal with threats to your teammates. You melt elites, hordes, and can deal with specials quite well. This build requires teammate support, not only so that you stay safe, but also so that you don't get generally bogged down by trash mobs. In return, though, you pay off better in terms of damage than any other build I've seen or tried.

This build has no use for actively Brain Bursting, don't use it. Kinetic Flayer is just a nice touch since we wouldn't be using any other spell either. I've ran through every Auric Damnation I've tried without using Brain Burst once.

VOIDSTRIKE STAFF

Incredible all-purpose tool. You will have this in your hands for 90% of the game, you will use this for everything. Use it to clear through hordes, beat elites down, and snipe specials. It only falters slightly in terms of boss damage, but its very safe to use against bosses. You can put out hilarious amounts of damage by empowering your crits with Disrupt Destiny, then doubling them with Surge. Aim high with Voidstrike attacks to skim the tops of hordes and farm multiple headshots to stack True Aim. There is also some great internal synergy going on here, where Surge lets you get extra hits, meaning extra headshots, meaning multiple stacks towards more crits via True Aim. Crits feed you crits feed you crits, and all your crits are stronger.

Important stats are Charge, Damage, and Blast Radius. Dump Peril Resist preferably, but Quell Speed is fine too. Blessings are non-negotiable. Perks can be Crit, Flak, Carapace, Elites, but uniquely, Maniac is not preferred.

COMBAT KNIFE 6

This weapon is mostly utility, but not only that. Since our Voidstrike Staff has all our offensive fronts covered, we take this melee weapon for the safe sprint speed and dodges it offers. Get used to pulling this out whenever you're not fighting, even if just for seconds in between staff attacks. More importantly, use this weapon to rapidly disengage and reposition away from hordes when they start to bog you down. Offensively, the Knife 6 is great at horde clear with Heavy 1 into block cancel into Heavy 1. This lets us deal with crowds that are spread out around us, which the Voidstrike struggles to deal with. Push attack spam is amazing single target damage and outperforms the Voidstrike at killing single tanky enemies, but is far less safe. Use this to kill mutants, bosses, etc. but be safe while doing it. Remember that your main job is still spamming Voidstrike attacks.

Important stats are everything but Mobility, and dump Mobility. Blessings are either a pair of Executor + Uncanny, or Flesh Tearer + Mercy Killer. However, I think Executor + Uncanny is better because this build actually only stacks ranged crit chance, and does not offer melee crit chance. Perks are ideally Flak + Maniac but Groan/Pox, Elites, and Unarmored is acceptable.
