Description
Maybe my favorite build in the entire game outside of Havoc. Ignore the bums on Reddit and Youtube: right-side Ogryn tree is and was cracked!
The Mk 5 Ripper. Before the heavy stubbers existed, this was Ogryn's most viable sniping tool. Actually, it still is! Best gun in the game and I'll fight anyone who disagrees (even before its buffs to ammo econ and damage - thanks Fatshark!). It has a small spread even while hipfiring (so there's no need to brace) and it has a high minimum pellet count. This means that even if just 1 pellet connects to a target, the shot does most of the damage of a full blast. The only downside to the Mk5 is its recoil, but that's easily mitigated. You can aim downwards to compensate when you mag dump, otherwise QQ cancel to reset said recoil.
Use PBB somewhat liberally for damage and ammo econ... it'll be back up in no time.
The Branx pickaxe doesn't need much support from the left side of the tree. Horde combo is initiated by L1/push attack/special into H2->L4 on repeat. Single target is H1->L2, repeating.
Take Bonebreaker's Aura over Coward Culling if you really want to.
I skip defensives like Steady Grip , Strongman, Mobile Emplacement, and Batter+ Delight in Destruction in favor of Keep Shooting , Pacemaker, Reloaded and Ready, Strike True and Slam. If you know better you shouldn't be taking much melee+ranged damage anyway.
