Divider

This build works with your melee weapon of choice, although the 10% melee damage node taken just after grenades is specific to chainsword breakpoints and may be substituted if using a different melee weapon.

Trigger discipline is key to the bolter:

  • ADS 1 taps for trash
  • 2 round bursts for weak elites/specials (tapping from the hip also fires a 2 round burst)
  • 5-8 rounds for carapace targets

     Of course sometimes the emperor (and the situation) demands a good mag dump :D

Some other points for consideration:

  • Where required, you can use shout to cover your reload without interrupting it's animation. Otherwise dropping a frag at your feet before starting reload can work.
  • You aren't a zealot, if things start looking hairy, throw grenades, shout, and dodge-slide TF out of dodge.
  • Because we're using tactical reload , aim to reload before your mag empties. That means, if you're using 2 round bursts, you can fire 7 bursts before needing to reload. If at least one of those bursts kills an elite/special, you'll reload even faster.
