+1-2 Extra Chained Energised Hits and +2.5-10% Impact on Energised Hits.
+7.5-15% Weak Spot Damage. Weakspot Kills also ignore Enemy Hit Mass.
+1-4 Burn Stack(s) on Critical Hit to a maximum of 3-12 Stack(s).
+4.5-6% Close Range damage on Repeated Hit. Stacks 5 times.
The Recon Lasguns are accurate and spammable. The MKIVd has quickest kill speed (fastestROF), the MKVIIa has +1 soft pen shot (slowest ROF), and the MKII is probs most ammo efficient (mod ROF). So take your pick...
The most important weapon perk is +2 stamina and blessing is INFERNUS. Since it has a high ROF and Crits often enough in this build, you don't need the HEADHUNTER blessing necessarily.
Crit'ing with INFERNUS is fun, but it's also effective against bosses and elites. You can reach a full stack of burns fairly quickly when ADSing with the DEADSHOT talent (+25% crit chance). You can sustain ADS fire fairly long with the stamina boosting curios, perks and talents.
Not understating that ONSLAUGHT significantly boosts AP dmg (much better than 10% rending)! You can take out elite Crushers with ~40 headshots in a moderate burst which is practical if you have some distance.
You can be fairly well stocked without hogging ammo drops if you mostly go for headshots and have the SURVIVALIST aura. The SHOCKTROOPER talent isn't worth it tbh since it has a long internal cooldown.
With the high clip capacity of the Recon Lasgun you can sustain EXECUTIONER'S STANCE for a fairly long duration. This ability is very good for clearing ranged Scabs in areas which should be the VET's job imo.
You will be going for headshots mostly and there is up to 75% increased weakspot and crit dmg with 10 stacks!
The M41A pulse rifle... erm I mean Recon Lasgun unlocks the full potential of INFERNUS. Shoot aplenty, rack up those burn stacks and focus on headshots!
You will have ~200 toughness which is plenty survivable, but you can alternatively switch your ability to VOICE OF COMMAND if that's a concern. Any melee weapon works, I prefer Power Sword.
This is not the most META build per se, but it's fun and very reliable to use on Damnation+.
