Key Points of the Build:

  • This is an Ammo Hungry Build. 
    You need either 1x Ammo Vet in your team or 2x Ammo Crates for a full HI-STG run
  • When you enter those rooms with 80374234 elites just spam your rumbler to delete everything
  • Don't underestimate Stagger and Suppression. Enemies that are laying on the floor are as good as dead
    Some weapons might have "better DPS" but things are also shooting back at you while you shoot them.
  • This Build is Best used in High Intensity Auric Damnation or Maelstrom. 
    Maps with low populations will make this loadout feel underwhelming

Ranged Weapon:
- Use Rumbler for Bosses, Reapers, Groups of Elites, Crushers, Packs of Dogs, Distant Specials, To create space
- Don't use on Mutants or things you can easily kill in melee with your Cleaver. Ammo is precious

  • Lorenz Rumbler VI
    • Perks: 
      1. Flak
        - You can pick Maniac but I prefer Flak because it's a more common enemy
      2. Unyielding
        - Take Unyielding since you will be taking Adhesive Charge
    • Blessings: 
      1. Blaze Away 
        - For Blaze Away stacks to build up you need to shoot immediately after reloading without aiming. 
        - Do that during Point Blank Barrage
      2. Adhesive Charge
        - Grenades will stick on Ogryn & Monstrosities; This is how you kill Bulwarks, Crushers & Bosses
        - Will 1-shot Reapers

 

Melee Weapon: 
- Use Heavy 1 + Light for Single Target Damage
- Use Heavy 2 + Light for Cleave Damage
- To access your Heavy 2 you can do a Push Attack into Heavy 
- Use Cleaver for Hordes, Single Elites/Specials and/or when out of Ammo

  • Krourk Cleaver IV
    • Perks: 
      1. Flak
      2. Unarmored (or Maniac)
    • Blessings: 
      1. Slaughterer - Must pick
      2. Savage Sweep - Can otherwise take Confident Strike

 

Curios:
- Perk: +Toughness%
- Blessings: 

  • Stamina Regen
  • Toughness Regen
  • Ability Cooldown Reduction (because PBB CD is 80s)

 

Stimms:

  1. Combat Stimm (Red) - Damage
  2. Concentration Stimm (Yellow) - CD reduction

    • Sub-version 1: Lynchpin --> Toughness Boost --> Bombs Away // Frag Bomb
    • Sub-version 2:
      - Remove: Lynchpin, 25 Toughness (top right), Bombs Away, Soften Them Up
      - Add: 25 Toughness (top left), Friendly Rock, Slam (you have +1 point left to spend wherever)
    • Sub-version 3: 
      - Remove: Lynchpin, 25 Toughness (top right), Smash Em
      - Add: 25 Toughness (top left), Unstoppable Momentum, Massacre

However, I think this build generally has 2 main ways to play; 1 Tanky and 1 more "Melee-Aggressive".

Toughness:

  • Lynchpin (Passive): +50% Toughness Replenishment from Coherency
  • Bullet Bravado (Ability Modifier): +12% Toughness for each Rumbler Shot & Reload
  • The Best Defense (Passive): +25% Toughness on hitting 3+ enemies with a Heavy Melee Hit
  • Smash'Em (Passive): +25% Toughness on Single Target Heavy Melee Hit
  • Curios: +90% Toughness Regen
  • Heavyweight (Passive): 30% Damage Resistance against Bulwark, Crushers, Reapers, Plague Ogryns
  • Delight in Destruction (Passive): 10% Damage Resistance for each bleeding enemy (stacks 6 times)
  • Nodes (Passive): +30% Toughness Damage Reduction 
  • Nodes (Passive): +40 flat toughness

Damage:

  • Reloaded and Ready (Passive): +12% Damage for 6s after Reloading
  • Soften then Up (Passive): Enemies you damage take +15% damage from you
  • Coward Culling (Aura): +20% Damage against Suppressed Enemies
  • Point-Blank Barrage (Ability): +25% Ranged Attack Speed / -70% Reload Time
  • Hail of Fire (Ability Modifier): +30% Rending
  • Dominate (Passive): +15% Rending after killing an Elite (10s)
  • Furious (Passive): +2.5% Melee Damage per enemy hit by Heavy Melee Attacks
  • Nodes (Passive): +5% Ranged Damage / +5% Melee Damage / +10% Heavy Melee Damage
  • Heavy Hitter (Keystone): Up to +25% Heavy Melee Damage

Tips:

  • Pacemaker (Talent - Passive)
    - Doesn't work with Rumbler
  • Light'em Up (Talent - Ability Modifier)
    - Will only apply 2 stacks of Burn. Don't take it.
  • Blaze Away won't stack if you Aim (ADS). 
    - You need to spam shoot as soon as your weapon reloads
    - As a result you usually wanna do this when you pop Point-Blank Barrage to kill big groups of enemies
  • Point-Blank Barrage Reloads your weapon
    - Always shoot first, then activate PBB to get a bullet instantly loaded in your weapon
  • Bombs Away VS Frag Bomb
    - Frag Bomb if you want to be able to clear entire rooms to save some Ammo
    - Bombs Away if you want to be able to stagger large groups of enemies and kill them with Rumbler
  • Break-points with Rumbler:
    • Most Elites/Specials: 1 Hit
    • Reapers: 1 Hit
    • Bulwarks: 2 Hits
    • Crushers: 3 Hits
  • Toughness Regen (Curios):
    - How it works: It reduces the time needed for your toughness to start replenishing from Coherency after leaving combat (after stop taking damage)
    - It used to increase the amount of Toughness Replenished but it was OP and it got Nerfed around Patch#12
