Description
SMITE THA MF HERETIC with this silly build I made. This build is capable of oneshotting Daemonhosts and Beasts of Nurgle on any difficulty, and will probably clean house in Monstrous Specialists Auric Maelstroms as well (haven't tested).
This build is all about burst damage. Any notion of sustain is put aside for the dopamine rush of deleting anything you want. Thus, I classify it as a meme build, even though you can probably do anything with it and be fine - though it won't be as good of a generalist as other builds. A decent team can take down a boss without much fuss and avoid Daemonhosts, but it's always fun to impress people, right?
This is an improvement over a different Daemonhost-smiting build with a three key improvements:
- Better stamina management due to 3 stamina curios and sprint efficiency on the stamina-inefficient thunder hammer
- Discarding Martyrdom for Momentum, a much better keystone, since you don't need Martyrdom stacks to oneshot a Daemonhost
- Better node management for more useful non-boss effectiveness and discarding some crappy nodes
The main weakness of this build lies in its horde clear potential and self-sustain due to a heavy focus on burst damage. Compared to a build using, say, the Mk2 Eviscerator, or a knife, you will not be getting as many crit-related buffs (especially Invocation of Death) or hit nearly as many enemies. Thus, you will need to stick with your team more.
The thunder hammer does not need to be perfect in order to reliably 1hk Daemonhosts. I tested in the meatgrinder with 20% Unyielding damage and level 3 Thrust and it worked fine.
The bolter is probably overkill - you may swap it out with another weapon if you wish.
Order of operations:
- Power up hammer
- Start charging heavy, wait for 3 stacks
- Pop stealth
- Whack DH, try to aim above the right shoulder
- Profit
If you miss, you'll still deal a solid ~23k to it, which is more than enough for your teammates to clean up.
