Ponder the Orb - Shock and Claw

Star of the show is Empowered Psionics Smite, which is charged up by kills, and what better way is there to get elite kills than by pondering Voidstrike Orbs that quell peril so you can ponder all day? (Many, and that's not the point of the build.)  Anything that isn't in a convenient line to get orb pondered gets the lightning, and any time the lightning isn't up, you've got the lightning sword that keeps winning.  Every target hit in a heavy melee gets the electrocution, and stacking stagger on the Devil's Claw lets you ragdoll the world so the team can clean up. Rager packs that don't get pondered get parried. Quell all day with Mind in motion - while no Psykinetic's Aura is tough, the Seer's Presence will help your shield uptime.  You can run the bubble shield if you want the bubble; I like the directional shield to safeguard vs Mutants.  Carapace armor and monstrosities are going to be a slower burn on the build since orbs can only ponder so fast and so zip zapping them with the Smite is going to set up the team with the 10% debuff and do non-zero DPS.  Brutal Momentum/Thunderous Combat Axe is another good crowd melee that does better vs big targets, and the classic of the Dueling Sword can skewer Monstrosities and Carapace all day with Uncanny Strike. Build's versatile enough the staff can be built a variety of ways including Surge / Warp Nexus.  Bonus points if you have a friend with Empowered Smite and y'all just roast the level - the damage boost from Empowered Psionics Smite can roast scab and dreg mooks alike as well as an infinite number of poxwalkers.
