Interchangeable Nodes

  • Non-essential Nodes (ones you can swap in favor of a preferred auxiliary node or node chain)
    • Soulstealer
    • Kinetic Flayer
    • Anticipation
    • Kinetic Deflection
      • Pick this one with block efficiency Curios for obscenely strong block
      • Pair this with skillful dodging and you can survive a daemonhost for eons
    • { Health Boost, Warp Rider } (we pick health just to get to Warp Rider)
    • Any of the staff nodes: { Empyric Shock, Channeled Force }
  • Alternate Node Routes (minor alterations to the node route that offer slightly different benefits)
    • { TDR, Prescience, Ranged Damage Boost } vs { Seer's Presence, TDR}
      • The former offers access to Anticipation, the latter offers access to One With The Warp and costs 1 fewer nodes
    • { Inner Tranquility } vs { Essence Harvest }
      • More burny or more toughy. I favor the former because I theorize this build can acquire all Warp Siphon stacks within a short period of time, limiting the value offered by Essence Harvest which optimally spaces out stack acquisition every 5s

Play Style

  • Inferno Staff
    • Spend 95% of your time burning heretics
      • Fire kills on chaff supercharge your Warp Siphon keystone
      • You're likely far more efficient at killing chaff than your allies, who should typically focus on whichever specialists/elites are scariest
      • Maxed out Soulblaze Damage over Time (DoT) does absurd damage, especially if you have access to rending/brittleness
    • 50%-100% charged right click followed by left click spam
      • This maximizes the value of the blatantly overpowered Blaze Away perk
    • Primary attack stagger is surprisingly powerful and pierces through crowds
    • As with most strong Psyker builds, high peril is good, actually and grants you a wide variety of benefits depending on your node choices:
      • Opportunity to quell for toughness
      • 10% Rending
      • Up to 20% flat damage boost
      • Sizeable Toughness Damage Reduction (TDR)
      • Weapon Wield Speed (aka swap speed) (honestly not important for this build imo)
  • Combat Blade / Primary Weapon
    • Choose whatever weapon you want. Nerds will recommend the Dueling Sword because it's overpowered.
  • Brain Rupture
    • Useful for picking off ranged enemies your clown teammates refuse to kill while huddling in your almighty bubble
    • Ideally you don't have to use this actively whatsoever
    • Kinetic Flayer gives you occasional, free instakills on Elites/Specialists
