Alright, gonna level with you. This is built in aggregate of other builds on this sight and some YouTubers, (Reginald, Mister E). I’ve never used this set-up before, and I’ve not even beaten a Maelstrom yet.
But trust me bro, this will totally work. For some reason, Zealot tanks by getting crits and dodging. Hilarious in concept, very fun in game. Take Scourge and Enduring Faith, it’s a Blazing Piety build. Take Second Wind and Good Balance, because Duelist is already meta, right? And you were planning on dodging, right?
We are not taking Until Death/Holy Revenant, you were planning on dodging, right? If you want to take them, remove Desperation and Blood Redemption or Good Balance.
The Combat Axe is awesome, I use it on Veteran all the time, man. I don’t remember which variant does what, so I picked the coolest looking one. Just make sure your light attacks are horizontal and your heavies are overheads. Extremely funny to thwack ragers with. You should probably just take a Dueling Sword instead.
The Accatran MG Mk II Heavy Laspistol is a reliable weapon to accurately spam down shooters and specialists. You’re gonna be criting like stupid, so throw on Infernus. Push it even further with Desperado, you were planning on dodging, right? But seriously, you’re gonna use this to whip on priority targets you can’t reach, and you will definitely already be in melee. You don’t get the luxury of careful aim, you have to blast that Tox Flamer while avoiding Mauler swings. Dumdum is a fine alternative, better for close range spamming, of course. You should probably just take a Boltgun instead.
Curios, Shmurios, you know which blessing you want, I just put what I find all-around helpful. I think a Stamina curio is worth considering because you may shove a bit more with the Combat Axe. I’m no Auric Maelstrom Survivor, but I love this game. I’m grinding Auric Damnation in hopes of beating Maelstrom and moving on to Havoc. I started putting this build down just so I’d remember to try it, but I honestly really like it, even if it is derivative. All the curios and weapons? You know what will work best for you, none of them are essential to the skill tree. The skill tree itself is what I really think is important, even if unoriginal. Heck, there’s probably already a build just like it on this site. If so, just know I didn’t copy them, I’m just out here meta chasing. And now you can too.
So yeah, man. That’s why my build is freakin awesome, and yours is garbage, and you should totally copy mine. Test it out in Auric and prove me right.
