Description
Designed to pair alongside and support an Inferno Psyker in high Havoc ranks.
Primarily uses the staff for picking off gunners, elites and specials as the team moves forward with double bubble leapfrog. Does surprising damage with constant crits despite being a support focused build.
Smite is only used during dense mixed hordes to keep them still, allowing the Inferno Psyker to spread flamers without constantly getting knocked out of charge via melee. Due to this, you could absolutely swap to Warp Siphon instead, keeping the shield on shorter cooldown if preferred. I simply like the 50% faster spread of Smite with EP for this. Make sure to let go of Smite before hitting 100% for the knockdown, this is often significantly stronger than the attack itself.
The greatsword can be subbed for a Duelling Sword, Knife, whatever Crusher popper you prefer really. It's main goal is to tap Crusher heads once they're already in melee range or to free a teammate from a Mutant. This is why I chose the Mk6, for the heavy pattern is amazing at this.
