Have you also lost the plot? Then use my pure insanity psyker build! Basically, we do everthing non-meta, and take everything sweaty Zealots tell us we shouldn't take. And the result? Well, if you can control yourself and not pop your top, you will melt everything! This build can be hard to play and is difficult to manage peril in the thick of it, but it is jaw droppingly powerful and versatile if you can - not to mention incredibly fun!
Melee weapon is whatever you want, though I prefer the knife so I can pretend I'm Sonic. But try and stick to a crowd control weapon as the staff does single target better than any melee weapon.
Electrokinetic staff is a must! Dump warp resistance, as we want all the other stats maxed. Ensure perks and blessings are the same.
Quell peril to 0 entering a fight. Activate Scriers Gaze, and unleash with the staff secondary on specs/elites and up, primary or melee on hordes. Once your peril hits 100%, you have 10 seconds of purely insane damage output. But over do your warp attack timing by even just half a second, and you're gunna explode. Even on Havoc 30+, at 75%+ peril, you will be taking 1/3 off a plague ogryns health bar with every secondary attack hit (fully charge it, I tested it, and it puts out more damage for less peril if you fully charge secondary compared half charging).
There is versatility in damage output too. Scriers will buff your melee weapon to godly levels, and Smite is there as an emergency crowd control tool - DO NOT USE IT ALL THE TIME!!!! Realistically, you shouldnt have to use it at all, but it is a good backup to have. Scrier also buffs this and can clear a horde, but to my testing is not as efficient as melee.
