A build made to 'preserve' the interaction between 'big boom' and the Power Maul. Not entirely sure if it still exists, but I felt like keeping it around anyway! Took me a LONG time of mental ideation to figure out what I wanted to do with this build. You can literally do whatever you want and this build will like it. Burst Limiter Override enhances your explosion damage, Heavy Hitter enhances your melee hits and increases cleave, and Big Boom makes your explosions bigger. You could put on this entire tree and it would make you happy/make you better.

But, I centered on a 'Ranged Build' that focuses on staggers and makes enemies weaker with staggers. Mostly because it quieted 'the voices' in my head of 'always loosing out on something', and I just, don't care about the Power Maul that much. It's alright, but the constant need to 'turn it on' is rather grating, but I felt one build should use it so here is that build for me! I decided to take Burst Limiter Override to enjoy basically always free grenades to fund Coward Culling's damage increase, along with just the general stagger damage increase from Hard Knocks. As I decided to focus on the 'generalist/stagger' tree and the Ranged tree, I have no melee talents, so Coward Culling helps make my Power Maul still not feel AS bad as it otherwise could, along with the other damage increases like Payback Time, Soften Them Up, Hard Knocks and No Hurt Friends!. I use Confident Strike so I don't need to use The Best Defence as well, since the only other thing I'd maybe want is Brutal Momentum, but it's like, ehh.

Basically, as stated, the entire set up is meant to just knock everything over while killing all of it. Your push attack on the Maul leads to a horizontal sweep, so you can get good use out of 'No Pushover' by knocking over/staggering everything in front of you then wiping it away thanks to Hard Knocks. After your push attack, you also go into a double light swing of diagonals, which you can chain together infinitely for even further wave clear potential. Beyond that, activating your maul and then light attacking will usually deal with or at least stagger most things, which then lets you beat them to death if they aren't dead already with Skullcrusher procs helping to finish them off. I decided not to go for Batter as you're just exploding everything so 'True Strike' hardly ever gets proc'd, and I didn't want to feel like I was 'missing out' not taking Delight in Destruction so I just left it off entirely. Hard Knocks basically functions like a bleed and lets you deal with most anything with a hood hard hit or two, or an empowered light into a kill more often than not. The Rumbler shots basically wipe the room in front of you too thanks to the radius increase, so doing that for breathing room or against the bigger targets like ogies and maulers is really nice for spacing while also dealing with and weakening the 'main target' in front of you. And when it comes to Monstrosities, just keep pelting them with Rumbler shots, they go down pretty quick with the stacking brittleness, especially if the rest of your squad is properly helping.

This is basically 'massive CC' the build, that still kills everything if it has to (though more often than not watches everyone else 'steal' it after priming it, which is whatever). Taunt funnels everything at you so you can blow it all away, which feels super satisfying. Otherwise just beat everything back, push it all over, charge up the maul when you need to to deal with specials or ragers, and dunk on anything and blow it all up when you need space. It functions rather well as a support build, and even does fine against shooters since Taunt keeps your toughness up while Rumbler lets you knock them all over/kill them outright. Just smack it all around and beat it all to death, that's what this build thrives in doing and feels like it 'gets everything it needs to'.

(ohh, and if anyone asks, sadly 'Fire Away' does not work with Power Maul empowered hit, so that's why I don't use it. Doesn't really add enough damage to matter for the Rumbler, and point is better spent elsewhere. Ended up Dropping Bulletstorm for this build too to take Bruiser to consolidate a few set ups/make this more of a Taunt Spam heavy build, as the point isn't to spam your shots unless it's a monstrosity anyway, so felt it worth taking the ranged hit for more taunts/more supporting for a supportive build).
