"Out of the pan, into the Fire"

Taking the heat off of others makes you the Anvil, and setting yourself aflame with imperial rage makes you the Hammer.

You are front and center, creating hordes upon yourself and slapping all who come aside to take every benefit possible as your team (hopefully) fires upon the mob.

 

  • {Frag Bomb} is taken as an 'Uh Oh' if the horde become too large and a break in formation is needed. Can be replaced.
  • {Pumped Up}, {Focused Fighter}, and {Can't Hit Me...Again} make the bulk of our damage resistance buffs, with {Heavyweight} piling on +30% against Ogryns.
    • {Pumped Up} gives +15% All Damage Resist while above 75% stamina.
    • {Focused Fighter} stacks 5 times to +25% Melee Resist, meaning a possible +40% Melee Resist.
    • {Can't Hit Me...Again} gives +20% Ranged Resist for 2.5s every 4s, meaning a possible +35% Ranged Resist.
  • {Smash 'Em!} & {The Best Defence} help regain Toughness lost while in the thick per hit, +5% uncharged and +15% charged for 5s.
  • {Soften Them Up} & {Payback Time} give Damage boosts for hitting and being hit, +15% and +15% for 5s.
  • {Loyal Protector} spec'd with {No Pain!} & {Valuable Distraction} make you the epicenter for chaos, recovering toughness and making all that hear your roar take +25% more Damage.
  • {Beat Them Back} gives a flat +15% Melee Damage bonus for 5s, and renews with every successful Heavy Attack.
  • {Crunch!} gives +15% Damage and +30% impact on a fully charged melee attack, combining with {Bonebreaker's Aura}'s +10% Heavy Attack Damage, {Strike True} for +10% Weakspot hit strength and {Brutal Momentum}'s +15% Weakspot Damage, creating a devastating skullsplitter.
  • {Batter} & {Delight in Destruction} combine for more damage resistance, with every hit causing bleed and giving a potential of +24% Damage Resist.
  • {Implacable} adds +15% Damage Resist as you charge your heavies. {No Stopping Me!} is taken mainly as slowing down for a heavy attack allows for more enemies to come from behind, can be replaced if wanted.
  • {Frenzied Blows} & {Just Getting Started!} synergize for +20% Attack Speed at full stacks of both.
  • If too many gunners have you in their sights, {Attention Seeker} with your shields special takes heat off the team allowing them to take aim.

 

Your damage dealer is the Headshot, all hits shall be placed as such for best effect.

 

Bread and butter is the [Orox Mk II & Mk III Battle Maul & Slab Shield], your Hammer and Anvil, with Bonebreaker's Aura and Skullcrusher. Defenses is the preferred dump stat, as your Perfect Block will hold. 

 

[Blastoom Mk III Grenadier Gauntlet] is taken for more distant targets and to special gut punch Bulwarks past their shields. Pinpointing target and Gloryhunter are taken for Target Priority; Snipers, Flamers, and somewhat distant nuisances like running Trappers, Hounds, and Gunners you cant smack, yet. As your Hammer is the main weapon, Melee damage will be this weapons preferred dump stat, with Blast Damage and Blast Radius being the highs.

 

DISCLAIMER: The total damage resist % are most probably off, but you can somewhat get the idea of how this is meant to be played.
