I am a Power Maul (PAUL) enjoyer. I have always delighted in the tiny increase to PAULS specials explosion and stagger properties when coupled with the synergy of "Big Boom" in the old Ogryn talent tree. 

I am hoping this synergy carries over into this new talent tree. 
I am also hoping that the "explosion" caused by the PAUL special will also proc the new node "fire away"

 

The build above is built around stacking damage resist whilst also picking up damage and impact boosts. 

PAUL is not top of the chart for damage or cleave, but it does have the best stagger vs first target and stager duration values compared to other Ogryn weapons with the Crowd Control stat. 
I have always enjoyed "Bombs Away" coupled with "Big Boom", the changes increasing the charges to 3 and adding a further three grenades to each use of the blitz where too good to resist. 

"Loyal Protector" or "Point-Blank Barrage" are the taxes to pay for getting to "Big Boom" and "Fire Away", my preference is "Loyal Protector", the additional node "No Pain" is invaluable for survivability, and "Valuable Distraction" is a fantastic take, taunt a large group on to yourself, drop a "Big Boom" enhanced Grenade or PAUL activation at your feet and they will +25% damage from all sources, including damage from any Bleed or Burn dots that will be applied from your explosions or attack. 

Is this build optimized? NOPE, 

But it is what i will be trialing when the new talent tree is released on the 25th March.

FIre away DOES NOT proc on PAUL special activation. 

"Fire Away" is still good for the Rumbler and for your Grenades so it could be kept. However it can also be removed so at a minimum we gain one free point to spend as you see fit.
If you remove "Big Boom" and the Reload boost node above it would also allow you to completely redesign the Ability portion of the skill tree, and free up at least 3 points to spend. 

However i want to keep "Big Boom" for the synergy with the Paul special, and both the Rumbler and "Bombs away" blast radius. This means keeping "Loyal Protector" (which is what i will do) or building around "Point-Blank Barrage" which is nice. If you take "Point-Blank Barrage" consider taking "Light 'em Up" and "Fire Away" the combined burning stacks from spamming Rumbler grenades will quickly reach the cap.

 

With the 1 free point some of the tempting nodes to take are;- 

"Can't hit me .....Again" for some ranged damage mitigation. 

"Bruiser" for a decreased Ability cool down on Elite kills. 

"Pumped Up" is tempting for increased damage resistance when above 75% Stamina, this build employs a lot of impact. Thanks to "Slam" you regenerate stamina on a melee attack that staggers a target, meaning you regenerate a lot of stamina.

"Too Stubbon to Die" for increased Toughness regen at low health.
