Divider

A build I made because 'boss/armor killing Rumbler' is just fun to me, and goes well with my 'add clear/area nuking' Rumbler build depending on what I might want to do on any given day. To answer a few things up front, I take Shattering Impact over blaze away as it allows you to two shot crushers to the head as well as 2 shot bulwarks in general (Blaze Away takes 3), while 1 shoting Reapers still. You lower your damage only slightly against monstrosities, while also being able to 'save points' by not caring about blast radius/fire damage so you can get some more survivability tools, which you sourly need. So that's why my Rumbler has low blast radius (which doesn't actually lower it by to much) and I don't take big boom. I also took the opportunity to take Rock, as I really like it on all my other ranged builds and it helps quite a bit when ammo's running low and you want to conserve, while also just being a nice 'quick cast' tool when needed. 

Beyond that, I take the Bully Club as having a 'add clear' one with Skullcrusher verses my melee one is a nice little bit of variety change, and I didn't want to just use the cleaver again like my Ripper build (but you totally can as Savage Sweep does help a LOT). But you absolutely need something with attack speed, I tried running this with a Pickaxe and holy heck, I hadn't ran one outside of my melee build/the other Rumbler build which uses it for single target instead of wave clear/always had a super large Rumbler shot on hand to stun things when needed. But having to rely on just the melee weapon with a no attack speed pickaxe is literally just a death sentence. I got dropped so often and was so confused only to realize I just wasn't regening nearly as much of the toughness as I was used to, and just getting demolished because of it. So, the Bully Club sits as a 'happy medium', it gets stuck on the wave sometimes but you do still have pot shot Rumbler nads thanks to Back Off!, so you can use those when needed for space. But otherwise the attack speed of the club helps keep you going just fine, while still eventually killing stuff thanks to doing extra damage to things when you knock them over. 

Steady Grip for when you get your toughness nuked and need to regen it/need to aim at a far of target because you weren't the greatest with your rocks. Stay Close! because that extra toughness regen is very much needed, Confident Strike makes up for not having The Best Defence so I grab the toughness DR node as it's very needed (but one can move that wherever they want if they don't agree). And yeah...the rest is just quality of life stuff and things explained in other builds of mine. Overall works quite well, and will still 80% health a monstrosity through out a CA cast (with you easily able to clean up thanks to the armor shred/still having rocks to throw), so feels pretty great and succeeds in the fantasy.
