Description
STILL VIABLE AS OF BOUND BY DUTY UPDATE
Intro:
My main build for Havoc. Can be used for Auric as well. The Brute-Brainer Mk III Latrine Shovel has a punch instead of folding special on the other 2 versions, which allows you to stunlock the Chaos Spawn and Daemonhost, including the Hexbound version.
How do you play?
For hordes:
-H2 (sideways heavy) -> light on repeat
-Light spam
For single target:
-Punch -> H1 -> double light
-Single target is Punch -> H1 on loop
H1 can hit the Bulwark on his head over his shield.
Beat Them Back and Strike True make up for the lack of Thrust and Brutal Momentum, of which the latter notably does not get any benefit, due to the increased hitmass of enemies in Havoc. We are using Thunderous because, quite simply, it is versatile. Brittleness ramps up the damage of our DoTs, like bleed, and the damage of our allies to great effect, which is especially helpful in Havoc where enemies have massively inflated health pools.
Build Breakdown:
Strongman can be swapped with Can't Hit Me...Again for extra Gunner Resist, and actually, you can use that instead of Gunner Resist on your curios, or Focused Fighter .
My preferred sidearm is the Blastoom Mk III Grenadier Gauntlet . If you don't like the GG, you can take any Heavy Stubber you prefer. If you want to use the Foe-Rend Mk V Ripper Gun, you can take that with Inspiring Barrage , and then take the point off of Steady Grip for something else, should you choose to do so. With a proper dump stat Ripper (66% Ammo/74% Collateral, this reduces the magazine size to 19 rounds and can proc blessings quicker without sacrificing ammo reserves, and lowering Collateral has the least impact on the gun), Inspiring will regenerate your Toughness in 2 bursts.
For Indomitable: Pulverise could be taken off and put somewhere else, like in Slam or Don't Feel a Thing. Although it is a nice node on paper, the bleed stacks decay very quickly compared to applying your own via Batter.
Beat Them Back could potentially be taken off for something else, like Don't Feel a Thing, simply because the attack chaining for the shovel is very fluid and fast.
Bruiser rewards us for killing things that we should already be doing, which are elites. Ogryn's role on the team is to take and dish out damage EQUALLY, he does not struggle against single targets. There is no such thing as "letting the lil' uns take care of threats", that's your job.
Why No Hurting Friends!? Because it works globally, that's why. If you don't want free damage boosts from *anyone* taking damage, *anywhere*, which is *always*, plus the 15% TDR at max stacks which are easily to build, then fine by me.
Grenades are preference, but Bigger Box of Hurt gets more mileage in Havoc; You get 3 of them and the AoE stagger is always useful. Enemy health gets more inflated the higher you go in Havoc, and as a result, are more likely to survive a Frag Bomb explosion. Those can still be useful, especially for clearing Daemonhost Rituals; A bomb in the center of the ritual can kill all summoners, but this will require more buffs.
Curios:
Generally, Ogryn curios can be x3 Toughness or x2 Toughness and x1 HP, especially in Havoc. In Auric, HP curios are too excessive.
For perks, it depends; If you have Can't Hit Me...Again , you can forgo 1 Gunner Resist, so it would be x2 +5% HP, x1 Gunner Resist. If you are using Strongman , x2 Gunner Resist and x1 +5% HP. Ability regen on curios is preference. Corruption Resist is viable in Havoc. Ogryn has a lot of stamina so those curios and perks are unneeded. Toughness Regen perks are useless because they only affect *coherency* toughness regen, which is disabled when in combat.
Ending:
