Description
I dunno why, I can't stop playing this build.
You're basically like a missile and, very rarely, do not have a charge of Fury of the Faithful. (FOTF)
FOTF should be used liberally. Do not be afraid to use it, even for killing a single pesky shooter. This build is predicated around jumping into groups of shooters and keeping them engaged in melee combat. You can kill Shooters 1 by 1 or 2 by 2 if you line em up well, but it's very satisfying. You feel like a 90's action movie hero, fighting one goon at a time.
FOTF is also super helpful for escaping, stunning a crown of enemies in front of you, and for recharging your toughness. Crits and backstabs will both recharge your FOTF as will your curios, so seriously, go bananas.
Strengths:
-Maniacs melt from this build- a big pack of dreg ragers is a joy to see. picking them off one by one is super fun.
-Muties will mostly be one-shot when hit in the face.
-Charging a flamer as they walk onto the battlefield keeps your arenas much cooler, and thus, safer.
-Gunner Packs can be rendered useless while forced into melee range. Drawing fire to yourself can also help your team pick them off without suppressing fire.
-Great crowd control: light spams from your sword can take care of smaller groups of unarmored enemies while also recharging your FOTF. If the light spams are not doing it, FOTF away from the pack, to make space, and melt them all with your flamer.
-Flamer is great at dispatching packs of reapers and bullwarks.
Weaknesses:
-You gotta always be moving, so it's not a super chill build, but that's also what makes it so fun.
-Carapace-armored enemies can take a minute to whittle down. Focus on smacking the bodies of maulers to save yourself some time.
-Boss Damage isn't great, but stacking burn stacks ain't too shabby.
I created this build around the MK VI heavy sword because I thought it looked cool and didn't get enough use. I dress up like a ninja and pretend that's what I'm doing. Hope you give it a try and enjoy the playstyle.
