Dump stat on the Vigilant Autogun is Damage. You still hit all breakpoints in Auric and with mobility dumped moving recoil is uncontrollable when shooting fast.
You have a 40% damage boost in game compared to the psykanium (Execution Order +15%, Not Far Behind +10%, and Arbites Revelatum +15%).
Some Breakpoints look like you are just under the threshold in the psykanium but consistently work in game.
I personally use Rapid Movement because it's fun, but it's a low impact perk. You may also consider picking Up Close instead.
You don't hit any new breakpoints with Soulguilt Scan, but it's a good perk. I would recommend it for most builds.
Once all your stacks are active you will 1 shot most elites to the body with a crit and non crit headshot the rest. It is very satisfying.
Any time your toughness is low or you want to walk in the open unpunished use Castigators
Honestly if I'm swarmed by the horde but there's a marked elite i want to snipe i just pop Castigators and dodge them. They cannot kill you in Auric.
Castigators +80% Damage Resist stacks with Imposing Force's +25% Damage Resist which stacks with Hold the Line's +15% Melee Damage Resist
You also lose all movement speed penalties for aiming down sights in Castigators, and get enhanced dodges with Street Smarts.
When sniping you should have...
+20% movement speed
+50% Monstrosity Damage
+40% Damage Resistance
15% of that Damage Resistance only applies to Melee Damage taken (Hold the Line)
33.5% Crit Chance (not including Crucian Roulette; up to +13.2%, and Surgical)
Body shot spam Maulers
Melee Crushers, Mutants, and Bosses
Aim for only headshots against Reapers, Bulwaks, Flamers, and Scab Ragers
