Description

Divider

This build is set up for max crit and therefore max DPS due to doubleshot proccs. The goal is to keep blasting 24/7 with an never ending scriers gaze loop. You either have scrier active, or you keep casting at 100% peril for max buffs until srier is ready again.

(careful at the beginning of a map when you do not have warp charges you might blow up, but if you kill enough stuff the endless cycle should work perfectly. Also, the higher the density, the better)

 

Melee weapon is free to use. I use the heavy sword for fun and because it is good vs Mutants (staff is struggeling against them a bit). However, I do recommend a melee that is good vs hordes in case you are sourrounded as voidstrike isnt the best staff in that situation, so probably no Duelling sword. Also feel free to experiment with blessings, maybe more cleave would be good instead of damage if you struggle more vs hordes.

If you dont want an extra wound, feel free to get more toughness (maybe change the small 5% toughness to bomber DR or stamina regen or corruption resist in this case)

 

Feel free to use e.g. +25% carapace or maniacs instead of 10% elites on staff, but 10% vs all elites felt pretty good for me overall, but not tested enough. Do not change blessings or stats of the staff!  2 shot doubles your damage, you need as much crit as possible to procc it and maxed warp resistance is necessary to get scrier duration as long as possible.

 

Key talents (how the build works):

Mettle+Soulstealer+Empathic Evasion+One with the warp keeps you alive.

Quietude is not really neccessary, but nice to have. We take it to get Battle Meditation because this does increase scrier duration

Psykinetic Aura is a must have to reduce scriers cooldown for an endless cycle

Seer Aura as 10% CDR is much better than 5% crit for our endless casting cycle

Scrier with Reality Anchor and Warp Unbound for endless casting cycle

Warp Rider as we are at 100% peril most of the time anyways

Solidity is kinda useless most of the time, but good for the few cases where you do have to quell e.g. at beginning of the map (but you could try puppet master instead if u want)

Empyric resolve is another must have as it gives massive scrier uptime

Warp Siphon gives us needed CDR and peril reduction - perfect keystone

 

optional: Brain burst with Kinetic flayer is not mandatory, but a nice auto DPS (no not use it manually, your staff is usually much better except maybe on bosses)

 

last tips:

- If you are learning the build, start with quelling after a few seconds @100% peril to get a feeling when you are in a cycle. If you do not kill enough and dont notice that, it is possible to blow yourself up. With time you'll get a gut feeling

- Headshots are very important with that build even though a double shot does a lot of dmg anyways.

- usually you do not want to fully charge your staff. Shoot as fast as possible. To stun bulwarks/crushers, fully charge

- positioning is important as the staff is best when enemies are in a line. try to get your team together as splitting up lowers the density and you'll hit much less enemies per cast. The more you hit/kill, the longer your scrier due to battle meditation.

- you can try Transfer Peril blessing instead of 2 shot or warp nexus, but this does lower your damage too much imho
