Lasgun Veteran (Current)
 Veteran Build - Warhammer 40k: Darktide 

This is my current favorite version of the Lasgun Veteran.

Pros: Best ammo efficiency in the game and fantastic single target damage + you can use any Lasgun weapon family.

Cons: Not able to cleave through Hordes as effectively as the Plasma Gun.

Weapons

I highly recommend using weapons that have the Uncanny Strike blessing such as the Duelling Sword, Knife, or Shovel. I like to run 5% crit and 25% Unyielding Damage on almost all of my weapons since the Veteran Talent Tree allows you to meet nearly every "breakpoint" extremely easily. 

For your Ranged Weapon you should be using any of the Lasguns. For the Laspistol and Recon Lasgun use the Dum Dum and Infernus Blessings, for the Infantry Lasguns use the Deadly Accurate and Headhunter Blessings, and for the Helbore Lasguns use the Surgical and Weight of Fire or Surgical and Infernus Blessings depending on the mark that you're using. Take 5% crit and Unyielding Damage with any Lasgun that you choose, just like your melee weapons.

Curios

For Curios I run a balanced setup with 2 toughness and 1 stamina. Grab Ability Cooldown, Stamina Regeneration, Gunner Damage Resistance, Sprint Efficiency, and Block Efficiency. You're going to be using your ability whenever it's up so you really want as much cooldown reduction as you can get and stacking stamina benefits makes surviving much easier. Stacking toughness curios allows you to mitigate more damage in the long run.

Talents

Starting off take Confirmed Kill, One Motion, and Close Order Drill. We want to reach the bottom of the tree ASAP and this offers you enough toughness regeneration, weapon swap speed, and toughness damage reduction for this entire playstyle to play smoothly.

Next grab the Shredder Frag Grenade, which is great for crowd control and area of effect damage. Then we build into Superiority Complex, Iron Will, and Trench Fighter Drill for more damage, survivability, and attack speed. 

We have our first divergence in the tree where depending on your melee weapon you will either want to choose Field Improv or Serrated Blade. With the Combat Blade you don't need more bleed so go with Field Improv and with the Duelling Sword or the Shovel go with Serrated Blade for the bleed. The Shovel Serrated Blade combo is REALLY GOOD, try it out!

After Catch a Breath choose Survivalist as your aura for the ammo efficiency and Demolition Stockpile for unlimited grenades.

Voice of Command and Duty and Honor are still a must take for nearly every Veteran build because the crowd control and extra max toughness offered by this combo is too good to pass up. You can certainly take the other abilities but I don't recommend it.

On the bottom left side of the tree take Precision Strikes, Fully Loaded, and Shock Trooper. This will give you more weakspot damage and unlock the BEST AMMO EFFICIENCY in the game. 

For the bottom right side of the tree take Reciprocity, Desperado, Skirmisher, and Exploit Weakness. This is our source of all of our extra crit chance and damage, which is important to the overall build and honestly at this point, every Veteran build.

Lastly take Demolition Team, Tactical Awareness, Bring It Down, and Focus Target. This is so that you could get even more value out of Shredder Frag Grenades, especially in endgame content, benefit from great cooldown reduction, and do more damage against the targets that will cause the most disruption in a mission: Monstrosities/Bosses.
