First build here, so bear with me.

You can use any weapons as long as you run sprint efficiency and stamina bars as your perks for melee. These are the current weapons that I use on my Ogryn right now. I dislike using the shields as I prefer to be more mobile with a dagger. Also don't like planting the shield down as I feel like I'm more of a wall than a teammate cutting them down.

The point of this build is to run in and grab as much attention from the enemy as possible, whittling them down for your teammates to take on the rest. This solely relies on footwork and blocking as well, essentially raw movement and gameplay mechanics. It focuses on defense, specifically damage reduction. Mobility and self-reliance is a must, as you'll be the main target out of your team. This build is NOT good against Carapace or Flak enemies or enemies with Armor in general, so tread carefully!

Dodging and dodge sliding is necessary, as you'll either need to make space for yourself, knock over smaller enemies, dodge sniper fire, and lethal attacks that cannot be blocked. Essentially, dancing in danger. You'll need to run through and past hordes of enemies, drawing them back from your teammates, which is why blocking and dodging is a MUST

Bruiser and Get Stuck In helps you run in and attract as much attention as you can, as Get Stuck In provides an additional speed boost when navigating the hordes of enemies. Go Again! also helps and restore your ability/shout as you're running through the hordes of enemies.

The stamina curios help taunt enemies when pushing them with Attention Seeker if you're planning to save your shout or if it's on cooldown. You can also keep pushing enemies back to provide breathing room and space for your team. In addition to pushing, Strongest! in the keystone modifier restores one stack of Feel No Pain, working hand in hand with pushing and Attention Seeker. Slam also refreshes 5% of your stamina when hitting an enemy, so do not be afraid to push enemies as you'll have plenty of stamina to do so.

If you want to, you can substitute one of your perks for For the Lil'Uns if you feel like playing as a protector. Run the revive speed perks for your curious and you'll revive them in roughly 1.5-2 seconds.

I'm sadly not familiar with Unbreakable as I'm not sure how to run nor proc it at all, so feel free to tweak it. On paper I don't think it's a good perk to run with this build as you'll be blocking and pushing a lot. You'll be knee deep in grox-turd to where you can see who's going to attack first, so chose as you will.

No Stopping Me! is helpful as it plays with the Ogryn's fast mobility. The additional sprint speed helps the Ogryn's brutal efficiency when combined with No Stopping Me! as he can go from target to target or prepare the initiative when it comes to enemies. It makes crowd controls easier or getting strikes on flak or carapace enemies.

Concerning flak or carapace enemies, use melee weapons that can stun, such as the cleaver. The cleaver's punch/special attack can stun any enemies aside from Monstrosities and Mutants. Yes, you can punch crushers and stun them. Use your punch your buy yourself time or breathing room when it comes to being cornered or dealing with hordes. Dodging is still your best friend. If you want to just say "fuck it" and run the pick axe, go ahead if you can cram it into your mobility. I'm not going to stop you from changing the build up, tailor it to yourself! I would highly suggest Momentum as a melee weapon blessing.

As for your gun, use anything you want. I either run the Gorgonum Twin-Linked Heavy Stubber (The Blue One) or my Lorenz Rumbler grenade launcher. The Gorgonum helps deal with heavy enemies or ranged enemies like snipers or gunners, and the Rumbler just helps even more with crowd controls or if you can't help a teammate from a distance.

As for your curios, you can swap out the gunners perk on curios to be more adaptable. You want to have a little bit of fun? Invest in the block perk and give it a whirl against the hordes.
