Charged Strike ’s damage is affected by anything that effects smite damage, which means Empowered Psionics will triple its damage. Enfeeble increases all base damage (including the lightning) by 10% to anything you heavy melee attack. Also for some unknown reason it nearly doubles the tickrate of Charged Strike resulting in almost double damage on any large enemy with a high hitmass.

Superiority has much better uptime than Slaughterer in this build, because slaughterer only procs when your melee weapon lands the killing blow. Superiority will proc even when soulblaze or the electrocution dot lands the killing blow as long as your melee weapon is out. The illisi was chosen for this build because it is a weapon with access to Uncanny Strike , a blessing that has somehow escaped nerfs, and its access to sweeping heavy attacks. Just heavy spam into everything, with the occasional special heavy when you feel like it or want to generate peril.

The trauma staff has very strong synergy with Blazing Spirit and True Aim , hit 5 weakspots with your melee and swap to the trauma for a quick charged attack to put soulblaze on everything. The soulblaze will fuel Souldrinker and Malefic Momentum , and since you have Perilous Combustion you can get some pretty high damage from soulblaze when there is a dense group of elites. Uncanny Strike will also massively amp your soulblaze damage into armor as well when you have your melee out. The trauma is also just an excellent cc tool and does solid damage, you have 10 seconds after scriers ends to spam it as much as you want. There might be an argument to removing Warp Nexus and the 5% crit chance perk on the staff, and just getting the guaranteed crit from true aim to proc Blazing Spirit and have something like Warp Flurry to spam the staff more effectively when you need it. I need to test that more. You can dump quell speed or warp resist it doesnt really matter for this build.

Only use smite when absolutely necessary, it will use up your Empowered Psionics charge. Some good times to use it are when an ally needs revived, you can pause the game so someone can get them back up. When you are backed into a corner and need to buy time for your team to kill everything it can be used as well. Or in havoc if there are boss spawns and a massive elite pack you can freeze the elites to let your team focus on the boss. With Warp Unbound you can maintain the smite for quite a while so it is good to remember it is an option, but I wouldnt recommend this build if you just want to smite the entire game.

Pick any combination of Soulstealer , Quietude , Warp Splitting , Warp Ghost , Just a Dream , One with the Warp , or Overpowering Souls (if you want to actually use smite). I dont know the best choices but all of those are good.
