Description
Melee heavy frontline build for the Veteran.
Power falchion powered mode excels at horde clear and cleaving through heavy armour by itself, but with Serrated Blade the unpowered mode still shreds hordes. Heavy strikes against a Crusher's skull do so much damage, and to bosses too with Unyielding damage.
This Combat Shotgun has been my absolute favourite recently, I have an identical one on every class now. But I love the regular fire just for being such a tight-spread shot allowing you to snipe anything. And the special slug? Feels amazing when you shoot it through a horde just to watch everything die to your crits, great for backup when melee is unpowered, or if there are a lot of unarmoured specials in the horde. And with +reload speed on the gun itself, you can spam load and shoot the special shot quickly.
With (almost) all the grenade talents you are constantly regenerating them and have a chance to throw multiple. Pretty fun.
Survivalist aura for shotgun ammo replenishment. I also have been running the other auras and it is just as strong.
Voice of Command with +15% close damage lets you stagger gunners or other specials to get close, allowing you to activate your falchion and kill. Also just the best for support + toughness for allies.
Weapon Specialist keystone because you are mostly using melee.
