Description
Anti-range SUPRESSING FIRE.
The build relies on pumping out as much range damage of possible with the lightning staffs primary fire. The amount of cirts you will dish out (you'll be maintaing around 80% crit chance with your staff at high peril) means that empathic evasion is pretty much never not going to be active. As long as you can hit something, you will be immune to range damage.
The combination of kinetic flayer, perilous combustion & wildfire mean that you're going to be spreading souldblaze like butter. Light elites such as shotguns, gunners, ragers, armoured ragers (shoot he head) & even maulers (shoot he body) will be your primary targets. one or two shots will be enough to kill these. Bullwarks & Crushers will need you to switch up to your secondary fire, but empyric shock means you should spam you primary fire first to soften them up. You'll want to target smaller elites around them first to hopefull stack up your soulblaze to DOT them down too.
If there are no elites around and you're being mobbed by trash, switch to your illisi and spread soulblaze to delete the trashmob. If elites are pressing you up close, you're better off trying to deal with them with your staff thant he sword, this really is just here to spread wildfire to trash and monsters.
Speaking of, for monstrosities, soften them up with primary fire to set up your empyric shock debuff, and if light elites are present around it, target them to load the monstrosity up with soul blaze which will benefit from the empyric debuff then focus fire with your primary crits. If you aggro, swap to your Illisi and spam lights to continue applying soulblaze and the dot will take advantage of your weapons +25% damage to unyielding armour along with empyric shock for a total of 55% extra DOT. It's by no means a monster slayer, but you won't be struggling with them.
The entire build relies on your ability to ride the warp. You're going to be at maximum peril for basically the entire match, so you need to be good at tracking your warp unbound cooldown. Big waves of heavy armour will be a problem as you're relying on the Nomanus' secondary attack to deal with them, which isn't an incredible anti-carapace weapon and we've buffed the staff to deal with flak and maniacs.
Your primary job is suppressing and eliminating range and specials. So it's ideally suited for maelstroms with those modifiers or high-int shock troops.
Goes without saying, but I wouldn't bother with this for anything like rotten armour or increased melee elites because of the density of crushers.
Super fun build and being able to stand in-front of a wall of gunners and take no damage is the ultimate psyker flex as far as I'm concerned.
